A lot of people think that kebabs are just greasy and not good for you, but thatâs not the case here â fresh, dry, well spiced and cooked chicken in a fresh pitta with crisp, fresh salad. Customisable many different ways, always served with a smile and packaged up safely for the drive home. Really recommend, great quality and value for money!

I have just visited and was very disappointed to see a V on the board next to items containing tuna. I did mention this to the staff but they looked at me like I was mad. If they donât know that fish are from the animal kingdom and therefore unsuitable for vegetarians, how can I as a vegan be sure that the items marked vegan really are? I certainly wonât be visiting again.Firstly I was surprised after you spoke to a senior team member, and several email correspondences between ourselves, that you still felt the need to write such a negative & frankly damaging review.I must clarify you werenât served any animal products at any point. The reference you refer to is - Tuna panini & Tuna deli - both marked on our boards with a âVâ, which was an oversight and should have been marked as âPescatarianâ, but in the 5+ years it has been on the board, no one has struggled to understand that Tuna is actually a Fish.As per the email to yourself , we assured you we had addressed and rectified the oversight and updated the board. You have focused 100% on an oversight, and failed to mention that over 40% of our menu is vegetarian or vegetarian adaptable; there are 5 vegan options on the menu, 5 of our 8 weekly specials are vegetarian, 2 being vegan. All our cakes are vegetarian, again with 2 vegan options - all correctly labelled (as per Food Safety Guidelines). We therefore consider ourselves very Vegetarian and Vegan friendly. It should also be noted the day you visited was one of the hottest days in British history, where our staff were working in extremely challenging conditions, and they did so with a smile, so all of our customers, including yourself, were able to buy refreshments and take solace from the unbearable heat. We all work extremely hard and deliver, whatever the conditions, so maybe a little thought, consideration and empathy should be applied before you try to damage a local, independent business.

Hi all wanted to share with you all our recent visit at the much loved Tin Hat in Hinckley, we are seasoned diners at the Tin hat and shared the disappointment when the new owners took over and changed the food (smaller portions for higher prices and sub par food) well the Tin Hat has New New owners who have returned it close to former glory.. :-) pepper corn sauce and all we were very happy with today's meal (steak) and we encourage locals to return to the Tin Hat. Especially as is seems they are now doing steak nights, Wednesdays... anyhow hopefully this great place can continue as the food we have eaten this evening was lovelly. Thanks to all, the Guiness wasnt bad either ha ha

What a shame. Somewhere Iâve been eating 3-4 times a year on special occasions for the last 4 years since moving to Burbage, and this last visit was just not worth it.The service was average, food was nothing special and very overpriced considering, itâs just nowhere near as good as it used to be.Lobster and prawn curry was a tiny portion, mainly prawns, tasteless and the only lobster in there practically inedible, it was so overcooked. My wifeâs starter was also cold when it arrived. It feels to me like they are profiteering, trying to cut quality of food and portion size, without amending the prices. We wonât be going back for the foreseeable. Such a shame, as it used to be a treat, now it just feels like a rip off.

As regular visitors to the Redgate, we have realised the restaurant/management/staff have become complacent and assume they will always have custom. It is convenient, geographically, but the quality has been going down hill for a while, the same menu, menus being dirty/greasy by the way, no apparent music licence, so bordering on weatherspoons experience at treble the cost. The waitress, obviously under too much pressure, accidentally dropped and smashed maybe 2 or 3 half empty plates and a tub of gravy on the floor and unfortunately over me. Obviously, I wasnât happy and asked to speak to the manager. She came over and asked âare you okâ as I was sitting there with left over dinner and gravy over my clothes. I said âwhat do you think?â As most people would. No apology whatsoever, maybe if people want to be in the customer service industry, they need to learn how to do that! Sadly none returning customer and clean up your act Red gate Royal Hi mrmmrsp,Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We have recently updated our menu with some new dishes and alterations, we kept some of our most popular and famous dishes. We clean our menus weekly, however they do have a matte/waxy finish to them. We do also have a music licence with PRSPPL which we pay annually. One of our waitresses did drop a plate, but it was only one, which was empty and this of course was completely by accident, not due to being pressured. As a result a small amount of the remaining jus from the plate got onto your shoe. She apologised and so did other staff members who also went to get something for you to wipe off the jus, but you raised your voice at her and started swearing. You asked to speak to a manager and when I came over to speak with you, I asked if you were ok and you responded aggressively. We were discussing the situation and explained it was a complete accident, you then stood up and continued to be aggressive. You refused to pay for your meal, so as a good will gesture we gave it to you complimentary in way of apology for the accident. I can only apologise once again for what happened. Kind regardsKelly
