Our open plan Restaurant, lounge and bar offer a free flowing informal space to enjoy everything the Hotel has to offer.
The restaurant at the Beaumont hotel ticked all the boxes for me.The food was excellent and reasonably priced. Loved the crab starter, soufflé and salmon starters and at £6-£8 were fairly priced.Chicken, venison, monkfish Wellington at £16-£18 were splendid.Wine by the glass offering and a variety of great draught beers meant the beverage quality matched the food.Service was friendly and professional.Loved it and would return.

Party of three for dinner and overnight bed & breakfast. Lovely welcome, nice corner room(no.5) on a fabulous day. The restaurant is small, bright and the kitchen is open and close to the diners. We had the larger of the two tasting menus and wine. Every mouthful was an explosion of taste and we argued constantly about which course was the best. Mine included the chicken liver mousse, the Northumbrian cheese, the roe deer....The wine waiter was open about her choices including having mixed feelings on serving orange wine (I did not like it). After breakfast the chef and his partner saw us off - a lovely touch.Go there - itâs lovely :)

We booked ourselves in for a meal last night having found the restaurant on the tastecard website. We arrived 15 minutes early for our table at 7 to be told the chef wasn't here yet and offered a drink. It is very much a locals pub, with the bartender continuing to chat to the locals whilst serving us. After 15 minutes we were provided with menus though not shown to the dining room so we walked over ourselves. It's a small restaurant with only about 10 tables. It's very quaintly decorated. It was a different waitress in the restaurant and she seemed much more keen on friendly hospitality. Our order was quickly taken and bread and olives were provided as nibbles which was a nice touch. There was no music in the restaurant and as there were only 4 tables it did get awkwardly quiet at times and you could hear other diners conversations with ease. One couple who were seated did walk out before ordering, which I could understand as all in all it was a rather strange set up. Anyway, it took about 45 minutes for food to arrive. The portions were generous and tasty. With the tastecard the bill came to £20 for 2 mains and 2 drinks. Would we return again, probably not, even though the food was lovely based primarily on the atmosphere. I do feel that this place has lots of potential if front of house was a more friendly and approachable.

We weren't sure if this was going to be another pub where it's all meat and potatoes but were delightfully surprised at the variety of choice and the quality. The Stilton and broccoli soup was outstanding. They happily accommodated our request to skip the potatoes and double the veggies.

This cafe has a wide selection of food choices and drinks, particularly for breakfast or a light lunch. Scones are v good. Service was efficient but nothing special. The most disappointing part of the visit was seeing a large number of smoothies being served in single use plastic cups with plastic lids and straws - so unnecessary and bad for the environment. What's wrong with a reusable glass?Thank you so much for your review. I am pleased you enjoyed your food and scones.Thank you for your comments about the Smoothies, I only wish you had mentioned this at the time as I would have explained how we are very proactive in supporting the environment and cutting down on our single use plastic. Our Smoothies are made in a machine in the cup which is 100% compostable, as is the lid and the straw. This ensures that we are minimising the use of the dishwasher constantly washing out the jugs from the previous smoothie machine. In fact all of our takeaway items are 109% compostable and where we can all plastic containers that we get in with deliveries are used repeatedly to store other items in as much as we can possibly manage. I appreciate your concerns but we are doing as much as we possibly can to reduce our carbon footprint within the limitations of our business and the suppliers we use.

Danielles' Bistro is an excellent restaurant just tucked away off the main street in Hexham. The cuisine is British and Mediterranean and the servings are generous. This restaurant also offers a 2-course lunch menu starting from £9 and a set evening menu
This place definitely lived up to expectation. Lovely atmosphere, good service from friendly, pleasant staff, and great food. I had the Cajun chicken and my husband chose the Toulouse-style cassoulet with duck leg - both were absolutely excellent. I booked on the strength of the reviews Iâd read on here, and it did not disappoint in any way. We will definitely return when weâre next in Hexham! What a great review. Really pleased you enjoyed your evening and Danielleâs and we look forward to your next visit.
