The White hart is an old English pub serving great local ale and even better fresh seasonal food cooked to order. With an extensive range of fresh fish and seafood along side some interesting and creative local meat dishes including game in season. If you

Venture through the first bar into a lovely cottage style garden with several discreet eating areas. Tasty homemade food served with a friendly smile.

A family visit for lunch at 13.30 resulted in a bad taste in he mouth on several counts. Starters consisted of patronising , heavily perfumed and unsmiling ladies who swapped half way through the order. Main course was reheated to a degree they were so hard a knife couldnât cut them (their self proclaimed âFamous Wedgesâ) Burgers so thin and pre bough ( Linda McCartney?) they were tasteless and a basic salad and coleslaw. The Ploughmamâs was good and enjoyable though with plenty on the plate and warm soft bread. Desert.... not risking it thank you. Those of us with burger options couldnât eat our food and went home hungry for a snack. At over £50 for 4 of us it was overpriced for the quality, patronising waiting staff and punching on prices for a small high street establishment. The premises are lovely, clean and comfortable so on that count they get high marks. No return flights for any of us and wouldnât recommend.

When booking dinner for18 I received first class attention. Managers Sophie & Charlie were very helpful with suggestions to table arrangements & seating plan. Nothing was too much trouble. On arrival the party had drinks in the bar as requested with friendly and welcoming staff. The meal, quality, quantity, presentation and service all superb. Nothing was too much trouble throughout the experience.I would strongly recommend this Restaurant and will certainly be revisiting.

A Public House that has a separate dinning area and outside seating. Families are welcome but children are expected to be seated with their parents. Battleburys formally The Kings Head serves a lot of locally sourced food prepared to order therefore there
Visited for an impromptu lunch. Ordered the daily special of grilled plaice with new potatoes. It was as good as an dish served to me in a top restaurant. Young lady barmaid was brilliant too giving sight seeing tips and discussing the best local beers. Would definitely go back.Thank you for your review Phil! We are glad you enjoyed the plaice, we are very proud of our local community and so are always happy to recommend all that it has to offer. Hope to see you again soon :)

As I was in the area, fancied a pub lunch, checked this place out and looked nice and cosey with good reviews. On entering the pub the first thing I noticed was the smell of very stale beer, yes I know it's a pub, but really. The place was cold and uninviting and looked dirty,, certainly not a place I would want to eat in .Also the staff behind the bar did n't even acknowledge me.I turned around and walked straight out

Whilst walking in the Kersey area asked the landlord if we could park our car in his car park, could not have been more helpfull, after 2.5 hours of walking, decided to pop in and have a drink that turned into a meal for all 3 of us, good decision great range of beers some national and local brews, good range of affordable wines, we declined starters, 2 of us had a salmon dish and the other baked sea bass cooked to perfection well presented, 2 deserts to finish, to conclude great place to eat and drink

Nice place but overpriced. £7 for a granary roll with very little filling apart from a stack of mayonnaise accompanied by a tiny pot of coleslaw. Don't think I will be visiting again.
