Find out what British restaurants to try in Eastleigh. Eastleigh is in Hampshire, England, and the main town in the Borough of Eastleigh. The town lies between Southampton and Winchester, and is part of the South Hampshire conurbation. The first substantial growth was as a railway town. Now it is home to many businesses, including a manufacturing plant owned by Prysmian Cables & Systems (formerly the cables division of Pirelli). The town lies on the River Itchen, one of England's premier chalk streams for fly fishing, a designated site of Special Scientific Interest.

We come here for breakfast regularly and it is always good. Some times the food is great and sometimes itâs just good. I always have the same and the sour dough bread is fantastic but portion sizes vary massively . From what I have learned the food is mostly locally sourced. They have a great gin selection as well. Great atmosphere and great place to relax and enjoy a morning off. They have free Wi-fi which is expected nowadays. Can get a little cold in the winter with the old doors not fitting very well.Thank you for your 5* and great review and we are glad you have enjoyed your breakfast. We source and use local ingredients wherever we can.The portions sizes should always be the same each time so please do let us know if that is not the case as this so we can rectify it at the time.Hope to see you again soon

I booked a table in advance and we came down for Saturday night dinner with the in-laws. We had a table near the bar and the music was very loud. It was a bit disappointing there was no waitress service. Nobody came to take the drink order so we ended up ordering at the bar. It was a shame really as usually there is someone serving at the tables but on this occasion when we wanted to have a nice relaxed meal with family it wasnât the case. I had chicken fajitas and the strips of chicken were very fatty. Overall, ok for a casual meal but I wouldnât come back for a Saturday night dinner.Jolanta G, it is really disappointing to hear that your experience was anything less than great, and your feedback will be taken on board. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We will use your comments to refine our efforts to ensure this issue does not happen again.

This is my first time writing a review for The Hut, but weâve visited many times. Nearly every visit we are served by an amazing waitress by the name of Yvonne. Friendly, chatty, helpful, and knows her stuff. Yvonne is like this with every customer, and she really should be recognised by those in Head Office for the outstanding work she does. My adult son has severe autism and learning disabilities, and she is great with him. She knows what he likes to eat and drink, and never speaks down to him at all. The food is really good too. I tried the tuna steak, and it was the best Iâve ever tasted. So flavoursome, a lovely big portion, and cooked perfectly. Weâve had many meals cooked by the Jamaican chef (I really should ask for his name next time!) and he is such a great chef. The burgers he cooks are amazing, and heâs so smiley and friendly too, despite having so much work to do.

We rarely meet our relatives who live some distance away, and chose this venue as we had sampled a good meal previously. We enjoyed our meals, the general ambiance and service was excellent. However our mealtime was thoroughly spoiled by the noise eminating from a childrenâs party which was going on in the same area. Because of this It was quite difficult to carry on a conversation with our guests and so our reunion was greatly disadvantaged. Can I suggest that the management consider the adverse effect these bookings have on their other diners and provide an alternative area for such events.Thank you for your review. We are really glad that you enjoyed your food and found our service to be good. We are sorry that you were next to a noisy table, in future should you ever wish to move tables, please ask your server and this can be accommodated. Alternatively, when booking if you would like to be in a quiet area, please let us know and we will do our best to ensure that families with children are seated away from you.We look forward to welcoming you again soon.Kind regardsTHF Team

There are a lot of reviews raving about a waitress called Jess. I assume that's the name of the wonderful, funny, lovely person who served us on Friday, and if so she deserves all the praise she gets. Marwell Hotel, please double her salary at once. And then double it again. To the food: We had the tasting menu on Friday - 7 courses expertly presented. On the Saturday I ordered from the bar menu because I'd chomped my way through the restaurant menu the previous night, so I had a perfectly cooked steak with wonderful crunchy chips. If forced to quibble I could agree with some other reviews that there were more small children present than I would like, but that's because I am grumpy. This is a very inviting place and all the better for it.

I visited Miss Ellieâs Café for the first time recently & was impressed by the friendly atmosphere and warm welcome. The menu had enough choices to give many appealing options but not so many that it could not all be freshly cooked.I had sausages, mash & vegetables. When it arrived the presentation was impressive, the quantity rather generous, to say the least and the food excellent. The sausages were succulent, meaty and tasty - unlike some where the cereal content makes it questionable whether they should be served with mustard or marmalade.I was still in the area the next day so dined there again. I was recognised & warmly welcomed back. Some of my fellow diners had been there the previous day, & later arrivals were greeted by name so were obviously regulars - and regulars are always a good sign.I had slow roast lamb shank with mint sauce, gravy, duchesse potatoes & vegetables. The presentation, quantity and quality were as before. The gravy & mint sauce mix was so tasty that I asked for a spoon to scoop up as much as I could. A spoon was provided along with a totally unexpected but welcome offer of some bread & butter to mop up the mix.The jam roly-poly with custard for pudding was to the same excellent standard. The price charged for the quality, presentation & quantity represents the most impressive value I have encountered for years.I have paid a great deal more for smaller helpings of inferior food elsewhere and if in the area again will certainly return to Miss Ellieâs.Wow thank you for a fanatastic review, we are so pleased you enjoyed your meals with us, we have an ever changing menu so hope to see you again when you are next in the area.

Microbrewery, Bar and Restaurant serving Steam Town Brew Co cask beers, lots of craft keg beers and ciders, craft gin and other 'pub' drinks. The menu is built around US style dirty burgers and fries, Southern style wings and homemade scotch eggs. Brewery
Just a 5 minute walk from the Eastleigh train station, this micro brewery has lots to offer the visitor as well as the locals. A great range of craft beers brewed onsite as well as a range of other drinks and mixers. But wait, there is more. They have a great little menu of bar meals, all freshly made and are just right to take the hunger away as you sample the lovely beers. What is special is the bar menu of meals which include a pint of any beer in the bar or a pint of soft drink, all for £7So the trick is to check out the offers first before ordering the first round, especially if you want a quick snack with a beer. The staff were friendly and efficient and the food order arrived in good time, hot and delicious.Itâs a great place, quirky, well decorated with a variety of entertainment nights to mix it up during the week. Youâll going to love the restrooms as well!Love it all and Iâm going to make it âoneâ of my locals even though I live in Australia

For our end of course dinner we chose the onsite restaurant as it was not only convenient but also an opportunity to support the students. As this coincided with Christmas the menu reflected what you would expect with a modern twist on favourites. At £19.50 for three courses, with coffee, the value was excellent and I thoroughly enjoyed my choices. Well done to the whole team I will defiantly be returning in the New Year!
