The Green Dragon is a village country pub serving traditional home cooked food and a great selection of real ales. There's a beautiful beer terrace for sunny days and a log fire for when the weather becomes chilly! We look forward to extending our hospita
Great traditional pub serving hearty portions. Each night has a theme which includes a pint in the price. Steak and ale pie I can recommend. Pleasant bar staff and a really nice pint. Well worth going and I imagine other nights are similarly as good with decent portions. Puddings traditional and again a generous helping. Tasted great but just couldnât eat it all twice the size of other similar places I have been to.

Fabulous little bar for those seeking amazing tapas or just a drink in friendly atmosphere. Darren & Debs are wonderful hosts who treat everyone like old friends. Debs produces delicious tapas with a Yorkshire twist - I particularly love the cheese fondue & fresh mussels, while my friends love the steak in red wine & toad in the hole.My husband loves the real ales available, which Darren always keeps in the best condition. A real little gem & an asset to Barnsley. What a fantastic review thank you so much daz and debs x

The old âRing 'O' Bellsâ pub has been tastefully renovated to create The Bells Restaurant. Being hundreds of years old, every effort has been made to maintain the old charm of the original building with every corner telling a story of old. During your vis
We thoroughly enjoyed the wine pairing evening last night, which conveniently coincided with our wedding anniversary! The four courses were all delicious, great value for money and we enjoyed the opportunity to be food and wine critics for the evening! Service was the best we have had by far locally. Lovely setting and great atmosphere. We tried things we wouldnât usually go for and enjoyed the different wines with each course. Made our anniversary feel a bit more special.Canât believe we havenât tried The Bells before, we will definitely return and hope they do more events like this!

I would highly recommend the Grille Steakhouse. The steaks were cooked amazingly well and well seasoned. We have the Tbone and Rib eye. Reasonably priced for the meal and the drinks are very reasonably. Cocktails £5 and they were amazing. Canât wait to return.

Our first time here and we were not disappointed. We didn't even know it existed! My Fiance's son had found it online and suggested we all for a meal there. I've lived in Barnsley for over two years and my my Fiance for five and no one had told us about it. We've obviously missed out on some delicious meals out! The venue is quite quirky and is adjoined to the snooker hall which was founded by Joe Johnson (world snooker champion 1986 for those youngsters who perhaps have never heard of him) and the bistro is owned and run by his son who was really attentive and explained how everything worked and told us it was his menu. The menu is excellent and everything on it is homemade! We all wanted to try the beef wellington but unfortunately there was only two portions of this left. This didn't matter at all as I got to share my beef wellington with my fiance and I had half of his filled Yorkshire puddings! Both equally as good! Apparently the curry was delicious too. I was delighted that not everything was served with chips! They have an excellent range of gins and wines. Only slimline tonic though. Please could you get some ordinary tonic for next time we visit! The staff were really very good and friendly without being intrusive. Oh yes....we will definitely be going again soon! Loved it!

Award winning farm shop and restaurant with a full Butchery, Bakery and delicatessen counter. During the day we offer cafe/restaurant meals, the restaurant stops serving at 3:15pm Tuesday - Friday and 3pm Saturday.
I've been visiting Barnsley for years as my husband is a local lad and we've eaten at many restaurants in the area when visiting his family so this place was a very pleasant surprise. We went on a Wednesday lunchtime and just managed to get a table for four without any wait as we hadn't booked and the place was very busy. The menu was very good with plenty of choice for both food and drinks. The staff were very friendly and cheerful. We had drinks whilst waiting for our food and they were served very quickly. Our food arrived without waiting too long. 2 of us had the fish cakes which were well presented on a slate with salad and 2 of us had a huge plate of ham and eggs. We all asked for the fat chips but 3 portions would have been enough. The prices are probably a little high for a cafe style restaurant but the food is good quality and the menu very good. The deserts looked amazing but we didn't try any. Unfortunately the fish cakes were a little mushy, the chips a little greasy and the ham and eggs also a little greasy. I'm hoping that this was because the kitchen was rushed with all the tables they had to cook for and maybe the fat hadn't got up to a hot enough temperature? The noise in the restaurant was also a problem which is a pity because it detracted from the ambience a restaurant should have. We browsed around the shop before leaving. Interesting things on display but at a price. Our friends purchased some meat which looked excellent. All in all very similar to the Chatsworth Farm Shop experience. We will definitely try this place again but when it is less busy and the restauarant a lot less noisy.

My sister recommended this place, and we were not disappointed, the portions were ample with fresh fish chips and peas, keeling's is on a street corner on a busy road and the parking is not great. there are a few side streets close by were parking is available. fish and chips is not my tipple but I do enjoy occasionally and will return.Thank you for the review see you again soon
