My wife and I came across the pub after walking into Coyton village from the Seaton Tramway terminus. The staff are very friendly and we sat out in the garden after being served at the bar. Whilst we didnât eat (we had shared a bag of chips from the village chippie prior to arriving at the pub), the people in the bar all sang the praises of the food served. A real Find!

Having not booked we were surprised to not only get a table but also some wonderful food and service. With only one member of staff serving and the restaurant almost full you would have thought that service could be slow but no, not only efficient but pleasant and smiling under obvious pressure. The food was excellent and well presented and well thought out. Had we stayed in Beer longer I would have revisited.

The Smugglers Kitchen is an independent restaurant nestling in the fishing village of Beer, and offering something a little more unique in East Devon for the discerning wine drinker and food lover.
We attended for a birthday dinner and found the food delicious. We has seafood linguine and the burger for mains and calamari and bacon wrapped Brie for starters. The menu was interesting and offered lots of choices. Wine was good. Service was pleasant. Slightly lacking in atmosphere perhaps but decor was nice. Thank you for a great evening.

Freehouse Pub in the Good Beer Guide 2020. Food Served Thursday - Saturday 12-2pm & 6-8pm. Sunday Lunch Served 12-2pm. Booking Advisable.
We ended our holiday on a high with a great family meal at the Hind. We received a really warm welcome and service was great. All our meals were fantastic, really good home cooked pub food and generous portions. Our son loved the home made chicken nuggets. Don't drive by this pub...you'd miss a gem!

This pub was packed when we arrived on a Friday night but luckily we had booked a table. The menu is extensive but not overwhelming. The food was plentiful....I had mussels as a starter and husband had the whitebait and we were glad there was a respite before our mains arrived. Next time weâll share a starter! Both our meals were delicious and sadly we were too full for pudding, though they looked fab. Better than average pub food, freshly cooked. Very pleasant staff

We hadn't been in Seaton for a while but found The Terrace Arts Cafe as reliable as ever. My only complaint was that my meal was absolutely enormous! Beautiful chips, lovely salad and dressing. I bet loads of people don't realise it is veggie/vegan either!

A beautiful 17th Century, historic thatched inn, just a stones throw from the World Heritage East Devon Jurassic Coastline. Formerly home to the Colyford village wheelright it has been a focal point of the village community for centuries.
Early Saturday evening 28th September and we visited this pub for a family meal. We had not been here before so were hoping for an enjoyable evening. This is a wonderful 17th century thatched roof building with a number of other rooms leading off from the main bar. Inside is full of character and old world charm.Found the menu rather limited and a bit disappointing. In fact 7 out 8 adults went for a burger with a variety of cheese toppings, £11.95 each. Even the kids menu was rather limited. The vegetarian option, on the menu was mushroom risotto. Our food was alright, it was nothing special. It was rather busy here and the staff appeared to be a bit stretched and level of service was minimal.A pint of larger and bitter came to £7.85, a bit dearer than we normally pay. The were no regular lagers on sale, like Carling, Carlsberg or Fosters etc, ended up with a pint of Prava. There is very limited car parking, in the car park and not much off road parking.

Did the Tramway and we departed from Colyton, Free parking here. Brilliant trip to Seaton and just as good returning. Felt a bit peckish and decided to eat here and it was brilliant. Staff very pleasant and helpful, food was served in good time and was 10/10. We had a selection of meals and every meal was excellent.

Real Ale, great Food,
Advertises that food is served until 2pm. Arrived at 1.50pm having paid £1.50 to park in a park around the corner as the pub doesn't appear to have its own car park. Told quite bluntly that they had stopped serving food, despite there clearly being several customers just starting to eat. No idea what the food or drink is like. My £50 went to a pub three miles away that was serving food at the time they advertised.
