Recommended to us by others staying in same B&B as us, this did not disappoint. Service was prompt and friendly, food a good notch above 'pub grub' standard. Duck starter was delicious, whitebait good but portion far too big. Main courses tasty and nicely presented. The best we have found in this area so far. Will definitely visit again when in the area.

Last year we stumbled upon this place when staying in the Scottish Borders. This year we are in Northumberland and were keen to revisit. We were not disappointed. We had a delicious lunch, there is enough choice on the menu for a snack or a more filling meal, followed by tea and a treat. The chocolate tiffin slice was gorgeous. It was very busy but the service was efficient and very friendly and although we had a short wait this was made clear when we ordered so we were prepared. The very fact it was so busy is a good sign in my book. Iâm sure we will be back next time we are on holiday.

Award winning restaurant. Local produce , 35 day matured beef, daily fish deliveries. Friendly, courteous & professional service. Large selection of single malt whiskies and wines by the glass.
3 courses for £20. First class food and service. You might consider it to be a bit out of way, but your visit will be well rewarded by the food.

I chose to have my birthday meal at the Blue Bell when we were staying at a nearly B & B for the weekend . Booking was recommended and I can see why . The car park was heaving when we arrived at 1945 . Our table was ready and we took our seats m ordering a bottle of wine which was very reasonably priced . We chose to have steaks an these were delivered in reasonable length of time and were piping hot on piping hot plates . Very tasty food followed by a lovely dessert of chocolate Sundae for me and Sticky Toffee pudding for my husband . Prices were reasonable for what you got and very well cooked. The pub was busy as it was a Saturday night but we were not disturbed by the drinkers at the bar very near our table. Lovely lovely food and highly recommended- jus5 remember to book to make sure if a table as it was very busy

This is a real find, lunch was splendid. The cafe is super clean, comfortable and warm. The service is friendly and the choice of food quite extensive for such a small establishment. Lots of local specialties and a lovely pot of tea! Next time we visit Northumberland we will make a detour in order to return.

Absolutely fantastic place to stay or visit. ALL the staff were hugely fun, friendly and helpful; from booking to checkout. Great interiors, lovely rooms, tasty food and fantastic service. Relaxed hospitality done very very well. Stayed two nights to enjoy a break in the area. First night with friends joining for a delicious dinner and fun night in the bar and lounges. Second night as a couple with tasty restaurant meal and early night in our comfy suite. The place has a very warm and informal feel, homely and relaxing without the typical formalities of a hotel. Breakfast was delicious. An all-round excellent stay, which was much needed, THANK YOU TEAM COLLINGWOOD. Thank you very much for the lovely comments. They are now on the team notice board . It was lovely to have you stay with us and we are looking froward to seeing you again in the future.

The Plough Inn Leitholm is a village inn offering comfortable well-equipped B&B, good pub food and drink, including real ales, gins, whiskies and a good selection of soft drinks in friendly, pleasant surroundings. Our coffee machine is 'on' from opening t
Just stayed overnight in this squeaky-clean, very comfortable inn, situated in a characterful small village about 6 miles from Coldstream. A very warm welcome,first-class dinner and excellent, hearty breakfast including lovely proper coffee, from husband-and-wife proprietors who have obviously put their heart and soul into the business. Must mention Fay who served our dinner and made the to-die-for Sticky toffee pudding and Bakewell tart. Very much âworth a detourâ and a great base for touring both sides of the Border. Cannot recommend too highly-and they were so nice to our dog-we stayed in the âHopeâ room which specially accommodated her and ourselves. You will not be disappointed bythis very personalised, high quality experience at an exceptionally fair price!
