Another sunday, another reason for breakfast out, called at Lazy Trout, very busy but got a table, had 2 breakfasts and coffee, swapped the bread and butter for toast, no problem. Very friendly staff and good quality food, will be back again soon.

Country Pub and Restaurant set in the area of outstanding natural beauty in the South Shropshire Hills. Home to great food and drink and in a great location just off the A49 The Station Inn is also home to 6 beautiful heated camping pods, a camping field
Ate here at lunchtime, after a recommendation from a friend. I had the station burger, which was cooked medium and to perfection, it was absolutely delicious, and for once I could taste everything in the burger, the cheese was yummy, and the burger was juicy and lovely. My partner had a 10oz flat iron steak, med rare, and it was to die for, came with lovely chunky chips and mushrooms. All were delicious, and we will definitely be returning.

Lovely find, gorgeous eating house, several small rooms in an 18th century house. Nice courtyard area. Some rooms and the courtyard are dog friendly. The staff were friendly and helpful, Good choice of food, as it was lunch time we only had a sandwich but it was delicious, Somerset Brie and bacon on granary bread with side salad and crisps. Nicely presented, cost £4.50.

Heather & Batch is an independent coffee house serving up locally roasted coffee, speciality teas and fresh, wholesome food in the epically beautiful South Shropshire Hills.
Visited recently for a coffee on a quiet Saturday afternoon. Had researched the place before i went but couldn't find it initially - It's so easy to miss as it looks closed as you walk up the town and walk past but don't be fooled - It's open for business and what a gem it is! Walk down the steps, through the double doors and the serving counter is right in front of you. It's a very quiet coffee shop with a lovely relaxing atmosphere. The seating is wooden but comfortable and spacious tables. The menus are clear to read and although i only had a coffee, i felt the prices chaged for the quality of the drink and the size of the drink were more than fair, actually excellent value. The girl who served me was helpful and friendly - Got told to take a seat and coffee would be bought to my table.Went for the obligatory toilet check as well - No issues. Clean and purposeful with seperate male and female facilitites. Basically this is a must visit place in Stretton and it's always important to visit and support independent coffee houses - Don't miss this one, you won't be disappointed!Thank you so much for your lovely review! It's so comprehensive and I hope gives other readers a good and honest impression of the coffee shop. Your thoughts about the visibility of the entrance is really constructive too (you're not the first to mention it either) so it's definitely something we're going to work on improving over the next few months. Thank you especially for the feedback on my team member, I will be sure to share this with them all and we hope to welcome you back again soon. Many Thanks Charlotte

The Kings Arms is quite a quaint old pub and that does make the restaurant a bit crowded in. However the menu has quite an interesting range a bit above pub food. Service was pretty attentive and food quality was quite good. I had Cajun chicken with noodles. It might have been better stir fried together rather than just heaped on the noodles but the flavours were fine.

The Plough Inn is a beautifully restored comfortable and friendly country pub, nestling in the Shropshire Countryside midway between Much Wenlock and Church Stretton. You can be sure of a warm welcome during your visit, where you will find a great offer o
Visited just as the pub was closing but the owners were great, and served drinks and chatted to us outside. The pub looked lovely and we would love to return one day to sample the food. Everyone has off days (even landlords) and the 2 reviews before me seem odd as there are SO many 5 star excellent ones. Hope to see you both again one day

My friends and I visited for a meal on Saturday. We were served by professional.and competent staff. The food was excellent. However, once the main course had been served it was as if the managers had left the building. Young staff sat chatting with their friends around the bar or at tables . No one asked if we had enjoyed our main course or checked whether we wanted a desert. We became the last table in the building and it was obvious that we were going to get no further service so we payed and left. This has been my go to place when friends visit but I am going to have to look elsewhere. Which is a shame as the food is excellent.

It has been a long time since I last visited this pub, I wonât leave it so long again. This is a fantastic country pub, with a great atmosphere. When we arrived the pub was quite full, so I guess a lot of people had just ordered food before us. So we did have to wait for our food quite a while, but it was worth the wait. The food was fantastic, as a party we had 4 different main courses and 3 different deserts. The standard of the food was excellent, a great evening out.
