My family have patronised the Wycliffe for a number of years for our annual get together. Food and welcome always the same - excellent. Recently I have been staying overnight and have been very happy there. Lovely, clean and comfortable rooms. Staff always remember to lower the shower head for me!

Between the four of us we had an extremely excellent lunch. From the set Sunday lunch menu we tried the roasted cauliflower, roast beef, belly pork, then apple crumble and poached pears with a lemon ice cream - all very scrummy. Would definitely come again. Staff all very friendly and accommodating. Reasonably priced for quality food. Would recommend.

Love this place, they serve quality coffee. Puts Costa to shame next door every time (which in my opinion isnât hard these days). Food is lovely too, only had the burgers but the other food looks great that Iâve seen served too. All of this served by genuine friendly staff who cant do enough for you, even when theyâre under pressure. Keep up the good work and donât let anyone get hold of your coffee recipe Thank you for taking the time to write such a great review ! we are very proud of our Clifton coffee that we serve and happy to hear its hitting the mark with you also :) please do come back and give the rest of the menu a try as your eyes do not deceive all our food is delicious, also with a new menu dropping this Thursday! once again thank you and hope to see you soon

A meal for seven friends here was a delight. The service was friendly but professional, and the ambience of the low-ceilinged intimate dining room made it feel more like you were eating in someone's home than in commercial establishment. Dishes were nicely presented and well executed and the emphasis on seasonal produce was clear, although several of us felt that there was a lack of seasoning -a bit more salt would have made the dishes 'sing'. There was also a distinct lack of carbohydrate: a tiny square of dauphinoise potato was the sum of it. This did mean we all had room for the delicious desserts, with the sticky toffee pudding matching the accolade at the Lime Tree last year as 'joint best ever'. This was a lovely meal, and I'd be more than happy to return -if only to work my was through the amazing dessert selection.

It's a really nice family pub. Recommend for any day of the week for food or just a drink. I visited on a Sunday and had the Roasted Squash, Sweet Potato, Mushroom and Spinach parcel. Switched to veggie gravy. It was delicious!! Kids meals were of good quality and portion. Staff friendly as ever. I always worry when a pub changes hands, as to whether the new landlord/lady will try to stamp their own identity on proceedings. I neednât have worried about the Thursday quiz. Same quiz master, same format. We also ate there last week and the chicken fajitas was excellent. Very spicy and tasty, and plenty of it to satisfy even the most hungry. Partner had the king prawn linguine which was equally good

Its years since I have been to the Church. Little has changed, and thats no bad thing. Some wooden flooring and perhaps a few less seats. The Church has an excellent reputation and rightly so. Perhaps i was expecting something more. Good service. Good good and professionally served. All in all very good.

We had a lovely lunch in the Ashlea, as always. In a lovely warm restaurant area, served with smiles and friendliness and efficiency by Clare and Aeron. The food was nicely presented and very tasty. We often stop for a drink here, and occasionally call in for lunch; it's always a pleasure.Thanks for the high rating, it's really appreciated. We stumbled across this cafe a couple of months ago and we have been so impressed. The staff are wonderful and the food is delicious. The chef is so happy to accommodate your requests if he can and not to busy. Never go anywhere else.
