This cafe/sandwich shop is small but perfectly formed. It is immaculately clean, bright and airy. The welcome you get is genuine. The freshly prepared salads and meals are excellent. The food on display looks appetising and the menu is inventive. It is really exceptional value for money. If you are in Camborne, it is well worth seeking out this little gem in Cross Street. Thanks very much for your lovely comments hope to see you again very soon

We arrived and was greeted by a lovely waitress Rachel. She was very attentive throughout our whole morning. The cooked breakfast was really fresh and there was a great selection. Olivia, who I believe was the manager was great aswell.Highly recommended a visit here. Great value for money.

Personally wouldn't book a table for this place as it's not somewhere you'd want to sit and have a family meal. Bad service.Really bad organisationSeemed like the staff couldnt handle the workload and were a bit miserable.Poorly cooked food. Will not be returning.Hi there Aimee. The Old Shire Inn offers a wide variety of fresh seasonal dishes, from light salads in the Summer to hearty stews to keep you warm in Winter. Our carvery is served every evening, as well as Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday lunch times. With its cosy, friendly
We arrived and the restaurant was virtually deserted. On the outside the establishment looks quite impressive and given the style (and value) of cars in the car park, we thought we had arrived at a decent place. However, this is not somewhere I would recommend to eat in unless you have the carvery which they seem to do quite well. Our drinks took nearly 25 minutes to arrive despite there being only one customer at the bar, the food was so hot we had to wait another 15 minutes just for it to become barely palatable, and when I could manage a mouthful it was like rubber. A complaint was put in to the waitress, but all she did was just laugh!!! We pushed things further with management who did reduce the bill but if more care and attention had been made in the first place then they wouldn't have needed to make a refund and this would have been a better review.

great to see the ice cream fridge back and what a great selection of flavors the malaga sweet wine and raisins was absalutly adictive it wasn't as sweet as the name sugests it was clean and refreshing you could taste the wine and delight in a little burst of sweetness from the plump raisins a real must try if in Camborne, as usual the friendly welcoming staff and clean suroundings were great, and with the cooking aromas coming from the kitchen the sun shining it felt like being some where in the med give it a go you wo'nt be disapointed

Wasnât our first choice but we ended up hear for brunch and were a bit unsure on first impressions but we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Slightly scruffy and mismatch setting. More like visiting grandparents for lunch than a cafe. The staff were all friendly and helpful and the food was excellent. Half antique shop and half cafe this is a lovely hidden gem for a cosy brunch. We enjoyed our cooked breakfast and panini. Highly recommended!

The St Aubyn Arms is a modern day Country pub that was refurbished in 2011 giving it a fresh & bright feeling, yet still full of Cornish character. Our bar is always fully stocked of wines and beers from around the world. We pride ourselves on our 4 real
We have been here before and are never disappointed, two evening meals and a Sunday Lunch this time. The food and service is excellent and reasonably priced, much better value for money and quality than the Clowance Restaurant. A great selection of Real Ales, 4 different ones available with two I had not tried before. We cannot recommend St Aubyn's Arms highly enough and will be coming again.

Tucked away in the old quarter of Penzance, The Cornish Barn is a rustic restaurant, bar and smokehouse in Penzance serving a wholesome menu with a focus on fresh Cornish produce â all helped along by craft beers and wines from local independent vineyards
We had drinks here one night, and came back the next night for dinner. We loved the warm, cosy decor, good choice of drinks and pretty good food. The only thing that wasnât great was the service; a lot of errors both times, the staff were friendly but lacked professionalism. They forgot to bring menus and to seat us in the restaurant until well after the reservation time, and every drinks order was messed up. All in all, however, we forgave the slapdash service because the ambiance and food made up for it. We would go again if we were in the area.Good evening honeyHenleyonThames,Thank you for your time writing this review.I am happy to hear that you loved the atmosphere of the Restaurant, and I will be sure to pass on your comments about the food on to the kitchen.I am sorry that the service was not to the standards that you wanted. Please feel free to contact the management team via phone or by emailing us at [email protected] to provide some extra information, so that we can work to insure that this does not happen again. We appreciate all feedback to help our eccentric charmed slice of Penzance grow.Kind RegardsRyanDuty manager
