Stopped here for a bit of lunch after walking along a section of the wall. The lunch menu had a great choice (my fish finger sarnie was awesome). Good choice of beers as well. It has obviously been recently been done up. Friendly staff.Would definitely return.

Brampton's newest Bistro. Everything is home cooked using the finest ingredients and all provided by local suppliers. Also, dog friendly (2 maximum).
Gillian's restaurant deserves more customers! We had a good meal here last year and returned when we were in the area. As last year, there were not many customers on a Monday night - but that's not Gillian's fault! Good Menu, freshly-cooked food (worth the wait - if you want fast-food, get a big-Mac). Interesting Service. Had the best steak I'd eaten in the previous two weeks in the Eden Valley/Moray Firth. I believe some regulars come for the steak - I can see why. The Mille-Feuille was REALLY outstanding, pastry by Gillian - best I've ever had. I can't say this is one of the "best meals ever eaten" because we have the misfortune to live in London with access to some outstanding places, all of which would be more expensive. We'll certainly return for another helping when in the area.Wow! You can certainly come back if you're going to leave another fantastic review! We actually have a couple who come from the Manchester area whenever they fancy a good steak. Praise indeed so thank you! Here's to welcoming you back on your return visit.

While visiting family we drove past this lovely village pub/restaurant with two dogs.Seeing the dogs were welcome outside in the garden we stopped and enjoyed a lovely meal in the sunshine. The dogs also enjoyed a nice big bowl of water! From the outset the staff were friendly, helpful and suggested the best dishes to try. Their customer service was outstanding and they came over to the table were friendly and chatted to us without being intrusive or âoutstaying their welcomeâ Definitely somewhere worth stopping if you enjoy great customer service and lovely food at a sensible price.

We stopped here for lunch while walking Hadrian's Wall. It was a delight, friendly and welcoming with reasonably priced food. We had sandwiches which came with crisps and a salad, and I had a homemade flapjack which was delicious. Perfect for what we wanted

This inn overlooks the South Tyne river and its beautiful fells. Situated "off the beaten track" it well rewards those who travel to find it. It is also a very good lunch spot for those who ride the narrow gauge railway from Alston. The Kirkstyle Inn has
We had a couples evening meal at the Kirkstyle Inn. We were warmly welcomed, staff were friendly and very accommodating. Food was great, catering for gluten free requirements in our party and the local beer hit the right spot. Presentation of meals was good, portions were large, and well-cooked steaks were accompanied by delicious sauces. We timed our visit to coincide with the monthly fun quiz night, so got entertained as well.

Looked at places to take our daughter for an early birthday lunch & The Bite came out as the no.1 place to eat in Brampton. So I rang ahead and booked a table with a lovely lady on the phone. We arrived to be greeted by a lovely gentleman who told us to pick a table either upstairs or down and he'd bring us some menus. We decided on upstairs as we wanted to look in the gallery there too. We looked through the menu & made our choices. Our daughter had the Cajun chicken & mango chutney panini & my husband had the haggis & cheese panini both came with a beautiful salad with balsamic glaze & crisps & I decided on the macaroni cheese with roasted Mediterranean veg on top. Oh my word it was absolutely lush & hubby & daughter said their panini's were delicious too. I had an amaretto hot chocolate, my hubby had a latte & our daughter a peppermint tea. The meal was faultless, the cafe warm and welcoming and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Total for the 3 of us was £33 and was worth every penny. Highly recommend a visit to this lovely place in a very pretty setting. Will definitely be going back soon definitely worthy of its no.1 spotxx

You are unlikely to come across this place by accident but it is worth doing the research and going to it. It is unusually situated in the middle of an attractive retirement chalet park. The interior design is warm and welcoming and staff were friendly. I had the best pub food I have had for a long time. I had scampi and chips - the chips were chunky, home cooked and tasty. Even the peas were fresh not frozen. For dessert I had creme brûlée which came with little shortbread biscuits warm from the oven. I will definitely return when I am in those parts again.Thank you very much for taking the time to review Blenkinsopp Castle Inn. We are very pleased that you enjoyed your visit and hope you will call on us again.
