We had a great value Travelzoo voucher for 2 courses and a glass of fizz. The setting is idyllic, the young staff are lovely and very efficient and the food is fabulous. As we walked in I saw the Thai menu and assumed it was only available on certain nights, so was very pleased to be given this menu as well as the standard one as it was included in the deal. The curry was very pleasingly hot (maybe too much for some people but perfect for me!). A great place, and I hope to return.

The Crazy Bear Beaconsfield opened in 2008 to spectacular international reviews including Conde Nast's Red Hot List for best new hotels in the world. The oldest documented building in Beaconsfield, a fifteenth century coaching inn, has been meticulously r
We visited for a birthday - a warm greeting when we arrived and a very quick whizz through being given a tab voucher and our coats taken to the cloakroom, which was a great start. The bar was lovely and the cocktails were good. When we were shown to the restaurant our booth was rather dingily lit (in comparison to the lovely wall sconces around the rest of the room) but they did bring an extra candle when requested, so it improved slightly. I would really suggest, though, with the attention to decor they clearly have in other places, that they sit in that booth and perhaps add a wall sconce or a mini chandelier. Following on from that, it was sometimes a little difficult to get the attention of a waiter, perhaps because of our position, and when we ordered drinks there was a bit of a lag. However, the food was fabulous. Sadly my starter of pigeon was minuscule, which in itself wasn't too much of a problem, except that everyone else's starters were rather large! Created a bit of an envy problem for me! The main courses were fabulous - I had the duck which was beautifully cooked, as were the dauphinoise and the broccoli. It did take rather a while to get the bill, even though we did explain we had a taxi coming. They also said I should have told them it was my birthday, even though I did clearly put that on the online booking, and dessert wise there was no tart or cheesecake option, which seems a bit remiss when the food is so good and the choice is, otherwise, very good. Overall I would return and try again - the food is certainly worth it!

Three pals of mine took me out for my birthday to this venue. They had kindly organised a 'cocktail masterclass' and dinner after.Straight away Danny the bartender was friendly, warm, welcoming and helpful. For me he made the evening. I learnt a lot at his masterclass about cocktails and how to mix them. He's only 19, but boy has he got charm and pizzazz!! it was a fabulous experience and made a wonderful and unique birthday gift from my friends. The dinner too was good. I had the burger which was really nice, followed by the raspberry cake which was as delicious as my main course. The others had different dishes, but all pronounced their meal to be excellent. For me this is the ideal venue for a lighthearted fun evening with mates. It's more a bar with meals, so the bar element is absolutely superb.I would definitely return to this venue, and hopefully again with a bunch of girlfriends!HI Mickigirl1310, thank you so much for your feedback and for taking the time to write us a great review! I'm so happy to hear you had a great time with us and we look forward to your next visit. Iâll make sure dan gets all your feedback, all the best, Russ
