We popped in to the Goil Inn whilst visiting the village.Living ânext doorâ in Arrochar, it is nice to have this little gem of a village to visit when the sun is shining.. non sunny days are available too. This was however our first stop off at the Goil pub... First impressions were good, with a polite chap offering us a table by the window - it was packed outside. Drinks order taken, he returned to take our order.. steak sandwich/chips & Mac n Cheese for me, with bacon - never had it with bacon before.. Food was very tasty, with the mac ânâ cheese quite excellent.Three different members of staff visited our table during our visit and all were very pleasant, checking food and enough to drink etc...Really nice visit and we will definitely return again soon... may try a cold wet winter evening next time - I bet itâs a grand atmosphere in the Inn.. Thank youJim & Judith

Great food in a great location - that is what The Village Rest is all about. Always comfortable and friendly, you can be assured of a great time whether you're just in for a cup of coffee and a cake, or a large meal. Our varied and well balanced menu chang
I don't recognise any of the negative comments on here and find them difficult to comprehend. The Village Rest in the beautiful village of Luss had excellent food at very reasonable prices, the service was friendly and the staff extremely helpful and approachable. The menu was comprehensive without being overly complicated and the food cooked to perfection, a level above pub food. Thank you to all the staff for your welcome and making our dining experience memorable.
The Den will be closing as of December 3rd 2018, while Inveruglas Visitor Center undergoes a winter refurbishment. Thank you all for your support and custom. We look forward to seeing you in 2019. thanks! The Den Team
What a great place to go for breakfast, light lunch or a delicious coffee and tasty cake! Wonderful, friendly staff, cafe really clean and welcoming. Lovely atmosphere and great views. The Den is a must for anyone visiting the area. It has a fabulous view point within easy walking distance which shows off just how beautiful Scotland really is! Would definitely recommend and weâll be back very soon!

Small friendly cafe situated on the banks of Loch Lomond, serving lovely home made food, cakes and great coffee
This 'restaurant' was a silly excuse of a restaurant. It was dirty, clearly not brushed since the night before and inadequate They were out of eggs and croissants, both of which were on the menu. Along with serving each meal at different times rather than all together and more efficiently. Also I asked for a white hot chocolate (which was also on the menu) but then received normal milk/dark hot chocolate. Shocking experience and a sad start to a great holiday in Skye. Do not visit this place, was also ran by children.

This was the only meal in 7 days that I would say had enough vegetables and potatoes as part of the meal. Good value, able to buy a beer too, very welcome after a long hard walk!

Typical Shearings Value - but we thought revamped interiors most welcoming and well heated.Very good drinks package and excellent breakfasts.Kitchen could start using fresh vegetables instead of what looked/tasted like tinned catering.Portion control a bit precise - 1/2 inch of celery with Cheese & Biscuits (its not Caviar)In addition all toasters need to be switched on in the morning !Dining staff exceptional !Otherwise all good.

We stopped in for lunch and a bite to eat in this dog friendly community run cafe. Our dog was made a fuss of and given treats and water. We had the all day breakfast which was massive and well cooked. This was followed by an amazing cake which we found out was home made by Kerry. All delicious and we didnât need to eat anything else for the rest of the day. Prices very reasonable and coffee was great too. We will be back and thanks goes to Colon and Kerry for the great service they are providing to the community and visitors alike. Well done.

Stopped for tea and scone while travelling north. Tearoom was quite busy so we sat outside in the sunshine. Service was quick despite the numbers of customers.Food was excellent although the scone was so fresh it fell to bits when spread with butter. Good pot of tea too. Will try again when it is less busy and sample a greater variety of food. I would recommend anyone to give it a try.
