Things to do in Amlwch
Called in this hotel for food onlyMenu was very limited, service was not that promptFood whilst was ok , was not greatbut for the price I would say it was okWhen we visited in May 2016, the hotel looked quite run down and in need of a refresh.
Again another pub that hasnt been done up since the early 90s.Flat screen TVs everywhere showing "Sport"The only place in Amlwch where I could find an ale.....I spat it out as it was VERY off (No idea why the barman hadnt noticed this himself)Grotty, grubby horrible pub. Avoid.

We had food for a family of 5 - 3 adults and 2 children. It was all cooked to order, so was fresh and there was enough for all of us.However the âmushy peasâ were inedible, water & tasteless.Quite a lot of the chips just had not been cooked through and you could taste raw potato. The fish lacked flavour and the batter was bland. All in all a pretty poor meal, most of which we left and it wasnât cheap for what it was.Could NOT recommend this- which is a shame as it is the only local chippy - but poor quality, being undercooked and little taste make it a no go!

Under recent new management team. A cafe located on the coastal path and overlooking a working port. We offer a selection of snacks and hot meals with daily specials.
Stopped here whilst looking around the port have been a few times before and always nice, simple food but nevertheless always a good visit so thought I would post a review this time !Very friendly staff giving us directions to the creek and we had a bacon sandwich and a sausage sandwhich, both of which were lovely. We will be back !

We have just stayed here for 2 nights B&B, all the staff are very friendly, Veronica and Gary are great hosts, everything in the hotel went very smooth, from check in to checking out, the food in the restaurant is exceptional especially the mixed sea food grill, plenty of choice at the bar, we highly recommend,

the window table in glorious sea view was very welcome. the sunday lunch was excellent. lovely little starter but the carvery was superb. fabulous turkey, beef, gammon all roasted to perfection and carved by a lovely chef. then roasties, roasted parsnips, cauli cheese and carrots, stuffing, a fantastic gravy, and a surprise once we had sat down with our plates piled high, that they placed huge dishes of brocoli, cauli and a huge dish of mash , on the table. all for next to nothing. fabulous

What a treasure to have found. The staff are friendly, professional and discreet. The food is absolutely fantastic! We were pleasantly surprised at the range and prices.I enjoyed a Posh Fish Finger Butty (from the 'Lunchtime Specials' menu). I would happily have paid up to £10 for this. The fish was delicious and the portion size was generous. We also ordered a 10oz gammon steak which was exceptional. My partner would have easily paid double, if not more for this. Brilliantly cooked and an incredibly generous portion, again. In short, every single meal we had was superb. The quality, portion size and service are faultless.Thank you, we'll definitely be back. We're already messaging all of our friends and family to come and pay a visit!
