I must admit that Roncjade is a lovely mountain restaurant, in a great setting (probably the best out of all of Piancavallo), and the food is nice and reasonably priced. However, we found the staff to be very unfriendly and off putting. First, we ordered a jug of tap water and we were told that this wasnât available. I would like to know whether Roncjade has a problem with drinking water or whether the staff simply wanted us to pay for mineral.Also, as I went to pay, I wasnât presented with a regular receipt, but a simple statement of what we had ordered. I asked for a proper receipt, and the lady in charge said that that was the proper receipt. In the rush and confusion I left, but taking a closer look later, it immediately appeared that was NOT a proper, fiscal receipt!It is a shame that such a lovely place must be managed by such offputting personnel!Ci dispiace che la tua impressione del nostro locale non sia stata al 100% positiva. We went here for a family dinner. We came early and the place was pretty empty. We all ordered the chicken and was not disappointed. The was the best roast chicken we have had in a very long time. The restaurant is always full and this means that the cost-quality of food is really good. Huge variety of meat, fish and vegetable and the quality is really high. Suggested polenta, sausages and Montasio cheese melt in the pot. The waiters speak also different languages. Highly recommended for couples, families and friends. Easy parking outside. Well done to the owner and his chef!!

We stopped in for dinner after passing this location many times and will certainly be coming back! They serve a very welcoming combination of Italian snacks, German main dishes, and some impressive imported steaks. It's like going to a high quality gastro-pub! Their beer selection tends to the German, with a nice touch of Belgian, though not an impressive number of varieties. More surprisingly, they have a good selection of wine bottles available though none of the Italian house wine tendencies... It's not a place to go for a cheap night out, but the environment is welcoming and comfortable and the food is amazingly good!! Go here for a nice date or a great family dinner during the earlier hours. I'll definitely be going back for the live music!
