Had a great afternoon here after visiting the Hallein Salt Mine. We all tried every beer on the menu (except the alcohol free and low alcohol options). When we were leaving the waitress gave us all a complementary schnapps, and had one herself too. She then produced a bottle of beer that wasn't on the menu and gave us all one to take away with us. Great service! A very jolly occasion!

My family was hungry after touring the fortress, so I stayed out of trouble by finding this good restaurant. Nice menu of traditional local fare. Some of the ingredients are locally sourced. The entrees were delicious and we enjoyed the meal outside on a warm day.

wanted a real beer hall meal and this was recommended on several travel sites -- we were not disappointed! Great atmosphere, great food, excellent bratwurst, and perfect beer. Only thing to be aware of is it's at the bottom of the hill leading to town, so if you are not driving a car, plan on a good walk after your meal or plan on grabbing a taxi to get back up to the town.
