Stopped for a quick beer and tour of the facility with a promise to ourselves to come back. Beer was outstanding especially (in my opinion) the porters. A huge walking tour group came in while we were there and that enlivened things considerably. The bar tenders were unflappable and everyone was served quickly and efficiently and settled in the enjoy the wide selection of delicious fresh brews. Next trip we will stay for food but we had too little time this trip! If you love history this is the place for you!

First, the good. We were on time for our Saturday evening reservation and were seated promptly, our waiter was attentive and the shrimp in our two entrees was very good. As for the rest...grits were almost cold when served, the chicken was greasy, the gumbo was a cup of very average soup served in a bowl and priced like a bowl. How can a business with âbrewâ in its name not have a lager? This was a one and done, very disappointing visit.
