This was our first meal in Paraty and was quite impressive. The fish in lemon sauce with banana coating was very tasty although the cheesy accompaniment did not go so well. The service was very attentive but no wines are available by the glass which is a pity.

We actually were there earlier when this place had no entry on tripadvisor. I could not put a review because I was unable to add it, since I could not figure out how to specify the address and location. This is not fine food, but the experience is truly enjoyable. Brazilian comfort/slave food at its best. It's mentioned as "African" here, but I would really call it Brazilian, albeit with strong African roots. We plan to return on our next trip to Brazil next month. We'll make a detour just to be sure to go, but we'll skip Parati and its overpriced tourist traps altogether, whether hotels or restaurants. Added value is that apparently the old road to Cunha through the park has now been fixed and should be manageable.

The old and delicious recipes of the Paraty cuisine, tradition of Banana da Terra, were gradually acquiring new concepts ⦠And they have gained a beautiful, delicious and fragrant present. In a very peculiar constructive language, something of a discrete
This was serendipity/ a happy accident for us. We couldnât get into our preferred restaurant but we had a recommendation for here. Slightly off the beaten track but worth it. Beautifully designed restaurant with fresh linen, interesting decor and elegant extras. Service very good. But the star is the food. Lots of high quality seafood dishes with unusual extras. Very fresh, well cooked food. Deconstructed recipes - but they worked well. Unusual (for English people) recipes with bananas, coconut and mango Not the cheapest of meals, but well worth that bit extra for a special meal. Portions arenât huge but certainly more than sufficient which allowed us to have a pudding - both had extraordinary caramel. Please give it a try as it wasnât busy when we visited.

We received recommendations praising the food in this restaurant, and we were not disappointed. The fish and seafood were fresh and amazingly tasty, including a starter with a seafood twist (instead of meat). Although the dessert was somewhat disappointing, I can definitely say that dinner at this place is a must for people who visit Paraty and are fans of seafood. Highly recommended!

Visited here twice during a short stay in Paraty as it came highly recommended. We had super times both days, we opted for the loungers at the bottom of the beach but there are also larger shaded areas for families or couples should they wish. The staff were attentive but in no way pushy which gave both days a very relaxed feel. The food is also excellent for a beach bar, cod balls and the bruschetta both great snacks. The beer was also nice and cold - just as it should be. Would highly recommned. Is only a short walk from the historical centre of Paraty.Good afternoon Jack!Thank you for your rating! And we're glad to hear that you had a pleasant time here with us!Everything we do is very affectionate to our customers! When you return to Brazil, come and visit us again!Hugs from the BalacoBacco family!
