The Wadsworth Atheneum, the oldest public art museum in the U.S., houses Pilgrim-Century furniture, the Amistad collection and a special treasure hunt system to entice kids to explore the museum's works. If your timing is right (end of June, beginning of July), you'll catch the Elizabeth Park rose gardens in bloom, but fall is also great for brilliant leaf colors, and spring yields colorful gardens and blossoming trees. For a bird's-eye view of the city, visit the observation deck of Travelers Tower, where you might also spot two resident falcons.

I simply love the Texas De Brazil franchise. First time visiting the one in CT after visiting the ones in NY on many occasions. Best Lobster Bisque' i've ever had hands down!!!! Our waiter Chelsea....the consummate professional!!!! She knows her stuff and treats her customers gracefully. Not as romantic a setting as the Texas De Brazil in the Ridge Hill section of Yonkers NY but the food is just as feast worthy. The brazilian cheese bread is addictive af!!!! The steaks and lamb (get the mint jelly) for the most part are cooked medium but they can accomodate them to your liking. The jumbo grilled shrimp....WOW!!!! All the food you can stomach for basically $50 and the drinks arent expensive either. The only reason i give this place a 4 instead of a 5 is because the sausage (my favorite thing at TDB) the CT establisment has is not the same as the NY establishments. It tastes more like a keilbasa than it does a linguica. But I do love the place and you will too....Im full again just thinking about it

The Brazil Grill on Park Street in Hartford is a neighborhood restaurant frequented by the local residents. For non-locals the restaurant may be difficult to find since there is no signage on the building.The interior of the restaurant is moderate in size with nicely spaced tables and very clean:the staff is friendly.There is a small buffet to start: rice, beans, salads, pastas, and some hot dishes like chicken stroganoff (recommended) and shrimp in a buttery sauce (very good). Then to the main reason for visiting the Brazil Grill - the carving station. Several different meats are listed: beef rib, sirloin, chicken wrapped in bacon, pork sausage, chicken wings, etc.. All the meats are skewered and come out very hot and juicy. You ask for whatever you want and as much as you want. But be aware - the dish is weighed and you pay by the pound. You are given a number and you have a running tab - so return for more meat or buffet and show your number.There is a adequate selection of soft drinks and beer to accompany your meal. Also, there is a nice selection of desserts, if you have room. Suggest the Brazilian flan - light finish to a heavy meal.

C+ rated atmosphere made up for the superb Brazilian food and service. Had two meals over a 30 day span. Good size portions, top quality ingredients and spices.upscale table settings. good selection of draft beer and wines. Today had off menu item Beef Ribs, house salad, rice and broccoli. would go back in a heart beat.

We were looking forward to our dinner. Family and friends had been there and recommended the place. We went back together. Sadly the food did not live up to previous success. The buffet section was uninteresting and cold. The meat section (an extra $3) was better, but with the exception of the top sirloin, was dry and overcooked. Even the people who had eaten there before were very disappointed. Hopefully it was just a bad day for them.
