It's simply the best pizza in barra grande. The location is perfect, right in the main square with live music everyday. On Sundays there's a bingo contest which can be hilarious and fun for the whole family. Try the bananeiras pizza, with a cognac flambé. The owner is super friendly and will guide you through the menu and the variety of cachaças they have

Best bar on the beach, complete with hammocks, swinging armchairs, beds on the sand, shady spots and sun soaked decking. The sun (in September) sets directly in front and wow, what a view.Cocktails, ice cold beer and food is offered - everything you'd expect - and of a high quality. However, the prices are more than most places. From the pier, turn left and head up the beach. It's the last one before turning round the point.Has WiFi

This place was so good we had to come back to it. It is definitely a must in Barra grande. The beer is extremely cold and the service is well nice. I would recommend the Arroz de Polvo and Moqueca camarão. The dishes serve well 3 people and if you are 4 a starter should do the job. The place is highly recommend!!!

The decoration and setting are just amazing. You feel like in someone home. Service outstanding. Perfect place for a romantic dinner or an outing with friends, since there are various types of tables and corners to sit around the garden. We tried the fish Stew, and you should try it too, its just delicious. To start, drink one of their special caipirinhas to open the appetite.

Went there with a group of friends for New Years week. Ordered a variety of dishes to try typical regional cuisine from Bahia. All of them - coconut shrimp, muqueca, bobo de camarão, octopus rice, and caipirinhas - were amazing. Highly impressed with how fast the service was (extremely rare in this beach town village during high peak season). Would go back anytime! Relaxing and pleasant atmosphere, suitable for friends, couples, family or even for a lone traveler.

We were recommended this bar/restaurant by our hotel owner and we were not disappointed! The bar is situated on the top of the peninsula, with river flowing on 1 side and ocean on the other. There were people chilling in the water with floating tables for food and drinks! Perfect place to watch the snurise with an ice cold drink and the freshly made potato crisps!HIghlight was of course the Lobster with black rice in a butter sauce. By far the best Lobster we have ever had.Could eat them every day!

We went to Papagaioâs on the recommendation of our inn and were surprised to find one of the best steak au poivre weâve ever had. It was so good that we went back a second time for a steak au Roquefort, equally fantastic. In line with local practice, the dishes are sized for two diners and include the choice of three side dishes from a list that includes potatoes in different forms, rice, and even a very decent ratatouille. The only dessert offered is a type of fondant cake that became popular in Brazil, locally called petit gateau. Again, it was one of the best weâve had in many years. We had a warm welcome on the two occasions, with both the server and the owner being friendly and accommodating to our questions and tastes.Papagaioâs is one of the reasons we left Barra Grande with great memories.
