Stopped for dinner while in the area, it was close to the hotel. The food was very good and you got large portions. I don't think the AC was working because it was hot enough that you sweat while eating. The service was a little on the slow side considering they weren't busy. Good food and and good price. I would have no problem going back.

Not only can you eat delicious home-cooking in this family friendly restaurant, but you can buy extra and put some in your home freezer! The staff is so friendly, everything is exceptionally clean, the locals all speak to you, and it is an over-all low-key great environment with really fantastic food! Collards, beans, potatoes, cabbage... you name it, they have it. And it's all good!

Colleagues invited us here, as this was Greenville's best Barbecue. They did not lie. We had the mixed plate, with barbecue and chicken, which both were great. The meat was just perfect. The coleslaw was good as well. I definitely want to go here again!The interior could probably use an upgrade. However, as you go here for the food... The food was just great.They only accept cash I heard. So be careful, and go early.. Apparently they run out of meat, fast.

I have a list of bbq places that I am trying to stop at as I travel. Skylight was on the list and I stopped for lunch recently. I ordered the medium pig plate with a side of baked beans and corn bread. You were able to watch the pork being chopped as you ordered. The pork was defiantly the star of the show. The serving was a nice size, moist and flavorful. Every couple of bites you were treated with a small piece of crackling. The sweet bbq sauce at table-side was a nice addition to the pork. The baked beans were served piping hot but were, in my opinion, just average. The piece of corn bread was thin and dense. Iâve not had this style of corn bread before and didnât particularly care for it. The service was prompt and friendly and the meal was a great value for the cost.

Love the BBQ here! I've never been disappointed with the quality of all of their menu items. Being from PA and moving to Greenville a year ago,my family was excited to try the Southern BBQ. We sampled most of the popular BBQ places in the area, and now we always choose Parker's above the others. The two locations we frequent are very clean and the employees are friendly and polite. My youngest son loves the mac'n'cheese, and my oldest son in PA always requests I bring some BBQ with me when I visit!

Stopped for lunch.we placed our order and noticed that the white meat chicken was a legI went to the counter and spoke with them they appologized and said to take the platter to our table and they will bring out the correct platter. Quickly the manager brought out a complete platter and again appologized for the error. Any one can make a minor error a good place makes it right quickly and better than needed.I enjoyed the extra platter tonight for dinner.I have no problem going back. Service was shown to be great.. the food was very good and hot.

We stopped here about 2:30 in the afternoon when restaurant was not very busy, so we were surprised at how slow the service was. We ordered a BBQ sandwich and a smoked turkey sandwich which took about 12 mins to receive. Once again, the place was not busy ands since these are 2 staples on the menu, you would think that there would be no wait, much less 12 mins. The bbq was just okay but the smoked turkey was really very good. Also the prices were quite expensive for a bbq restaurant.
