Chuck's Southern Comforts Cafe is located in the same building as the Chateau Orleans banquet hall. We attended a memorial luncheon for a co-worker and found that the luncheon menu was directly from Chuck's Southern Comfort Cafe. For Chuck's Southern Comforts Cafe there is an outdoor patio that is shaded that fronts on Cass Ave. As you walk in to the main entrance, if you go to the left you are in the banquet hall, but if you go to the right, you are in Chuck's Southern Comforts Cafe. We started with soup and salad. We had browned chicken, pulled pork and mashed potatoes. The chicken was tender, as was the pulled pork. Really good for a catered luncheon. The staff was pleasant and efficient. Though we have been to the other Chuck's Southern Comforts Cafe in Burban, this Darien location is a bit closer, so I'm sure that we'll be back.

We ventured out for dinner on our first night of vacation in the Chicago area, and decided on Uncle Bub's. It's easy to find, and had plenty of parking (though that might not be the case on a busier night.) The interior was inviting, the staff unfailingly friendly and helpful, and the menu clear. We placed our orders, got our drinks, and grabbed a booth. Our food came out quickly, and looked great. Our only real complaint is that the food comes out sauced (we prefer to sauce our barbecue ourselves.) the portions were large, and everything tasted fantastic! We definitely recommend!

The chicken is a flavorful juicy gem. The pieces are marinated in fruit juice which make them very juicy and slightly sweet. The chicken is grilled right when you order. So there is a slight wait but it is well worth it. The roasted potato wedges are a fast seller as is the zucchini in marinara sauce. Get there before the dinner rush to insure the availability of these.
