Authentic Turkish barbecue restaurant which opened in January 2016 located in Westcliff-on-Sea following the success of our Southend restaurant. If you enjoy delicious fresh food and friendly customer service then make sure you pay us a visit!
We visited before a show at the Palace Theatre. The staff are warm and welcoming, happy to explain different dishes and ingredients. Lovely fresh food as usual. Lots of choice, cooked to order and very tasty. I had the whitebait to start (huge portion) my other half had the meatballs. We both had an oven baked dish for mains, mine was vegetarian-so tasty and very filling; he had a lamb one which was delicious. We also managed to squeeze in the complimentary baklava & Turkish tea. Thanks for another lovely meal

We recently visited Gallacher's on a Saturday night to celebrate a family birthday. We'd never been there before but are regular patrons at another local restaurant that specialises in burgers, chicken and ribs and fancied trying somewhere different. We knew immediately that we'd come to the right place as we were greeted by Adrian and his team. Adrian went through everything in detail, explaining about his food and the cooking processes and then went through a comprehensive drinks list. Our party all went for a full 3 course menu experience and kinda regretted it in that the food was so plentiful that taking on dessert was quite a challenge.Between us we sampled a large cross section of the menu. I personally had the Smoke House Dog which contained two beautiful sausages (proper, butcher's sausages) smoked in house and covered in bbq pulled pork - and it was amazing. The side of Cowboy Beans was extremely tasty too.Adrian was on hand throughout the evening (without being intrusive), ensuring that everything was ok. The serving staff were very attentive too.Talking to Adrian it became apparent how well set up this operation is when it comes to dealing with food allergies and there is a high proportion of the menu (over 90%) that is gluten free. As everything is cooked fresh, it is no problem to tailor any dish to your individual needs. All in all, it was a great experience and I'm very glad that we've found Gallacher's and will be returning soon.
