Have been coming to Korean Grill House on Hwy 7 for the last 16 years through a change in ownership and a rebranding. While there have been better Korean BBQ restaurants in the area, and there have been some with more gimmicks (addition of sushi to your BBQ dinner), none have been able to match Korean Grill Houses consistency, value and most importantly... ability to stay in business. Recently however, I have noticed that their service and quality of meats has also improved, making it an even better experience!

The server brought forth five plates of banchan first with a complimentary steamed egg dish. I was so thrilled with this and absolutely thought that the steamed egg was so delicious! It was plain steamed egg but I enjoyed its fluffiness and smoothness. The banchan included kimchi, fermented bok choy, bean sprouts, eggplant, and apple slices & cucumbers. The eggplant was a unique one that I enjoyed.Soon, our gigantic wok of spicy chicken and cheese ring arrived to the table! It was definitely worthy of photos and videos. Our extra cheese arrived in a 2-cup measuring cup and the rice cakes in a separate dish. After turning on the heat on the tabletop BBQ, the server poured in the rice cakes and cooked it for us a little bit. Unlike my experience at Yoogane, the rest of the cooking was left to us that night.Once the chicken, rice cakes, cabbage, and onions had been thoroughly cooked in the centre grill and the cheese had melted in the ring, we began eating by taking a piece of the chicken and dipping into the cheese ring to eat. The cheese had probably been left cooking longer than it should have been because we didnât get the gooey and stringy cheese that we wanted but it was still really delicious. The cheese smelled amazing! The tender dark meat chicken pieces, when wrapped around the cheese, were a perfect match of tastes and the cheese helped to take away the slight spiciness of the meat and veggies too. The rice cakes were also firm and tasted just right.Seafood Pancakes with Garlic Chives: This looked amazing and came with a dish of soy sauce and floating garlic chives. I gobbled up a couple slices of the Seafood Pancakes as I waited for the cheese to melt and this Seafood Pancake was absolutely delicious! There were just enough shrimps and squid in it with green chives and the pancake itself was also thin and not greasy! It had been a while since I had last had a really delicious and well made Seafood Pancake and I could confidently say that I had found it. Yay!

Popular with local Koreans this is a busy place on Yonge north of Steeles. Restaurant has a mix of regular tables and BBQ fume hoods, reservations are recommended. The Kalbi is good, the small side dishes are ever changing. No surprises. Bit of a bum's rush to shoo out for the next group, no cinnamon drink to cleanse the palate this time.

Food took more than 2.5 hours to come. All ice cold and soggy. Tried calling restaurant many times asking what was taking so long and they could not locate driver. Place run by amateurs. Will never return.

Touro Churrascaria offers a unique dining experience that is unlike the traditional Western-style steakhouse, we use a fixed-price dining concept known as âRodÃzioâ. This service style features continuous table-side service of a wide variety of select cut
Many time I went Saturday night and everything was very good, good food, good service, 4 1/2 star over all. BUT, the last 2 times I went for lunch ( once weekend, once week day) the service was very slow, choice of food was very little, the buffet part was not impressive. I don't know if the really dropped or only for lunch they don't care.

To combat the sullen mood created by this current cold spell and accompanying detestable, slushy snow and ice. For tonight's dinner, I decided to have something fun and uplifting at this popular Thornhill Korean restaurant - an open-fire, cook yourself Korean BBQ, paired with hopefully, an array of hot and spicy Banchan ( small side dishes ).Of the two pages of 'Beef' offering, my partner and I decided to order the most expensive dish on the menu - Do it yourself BBQ un-marinated 'Premium Beef Sirloin'.Contrary to the menu's glowing description of this ' Prime AAA cut of Sirloin ', I found the quality to be inferior, the texture lacking in tenderness and the taste lacking in beefiness. A surprising 'miss' associated with a supposedly high end grade of beef. The garlic, sea salt and sesame oil dipping sauce was one dimensional, heavily dominated by the sesame seed component, salty and uninspiring. The other sauce, a fermented bean curd/miso paste was also rather dull tasting. On top, I was rather disappointed by the lack of charcoal aroma and taste, usually exhibited with grilling over real charcoal in an Hibachi BBQ grill.Fortunately, what was lacking with the entree, it was partially made up by the wonderfully seasoned and tasty array of Banchan. Though limited to only six choices, however, every one was a delight.Service, though friendly, was hindered by tonight's packed house. The result, a rather rush and partly incomprehensible description of how to eat the beef, condiments and wraps properly. As well, requests for additional Banchan and sauces were ignored. If I am to return, I will definitely choose the marinated beef ribs. Hopefully, the taste will be more complex and intense. However, with so many Korean establishments scattered in this area, I'm sure there are other outfits far superior than Piggy's?!

Heading to Toronto? Before you get downtown, stop off the Trans Canada Highway for a light lunch or relaxing dinner at Bâton Rouge Steakhouse Bar & Grill in Thornhill.
Just came back from this restaurant. We haven't been here for a very long time so I asked my husband to take me out for my 75th birthday there. I indulged in the shrimp and rib dinner at $36 a plate..3 tiger shrimp that were not fully peeled over 10 oz ribs (half the size that they used to be). The ribs were soft BUT they put the shrimp on the ribs and over everything was this disgusting, disgusting chemical sauce that was putrid. I thought I was going to throw up (and I don't normally). I remember their tomato based BBQ sauce was delicious and beautiful long ribs. If I am paying for shrimp, I want to taste the succulence of the shrimp not some chemical crap over them. Well, needless to say, I thanked my husband for taking me out and NEVER NEVER AGAIN to Baton Rouge. Another restaurant down the drain. We are sorry to hear about your unsatisfactory experience. Please contact management at (905) 764-6959 and ask for Alex or Manal so we can make it right for you.
