Dining with a group of 12 can be a challenge. I called ahead, and we were seated soon after we arrived. Mary was tasked with handling our lovely crew, and she did an admirable job! After filling our drink orders, she brought out two baskets of these delightful little cheese muffins. They were light and tasty! The menu has an extensive assortment of fair youâd expect from a barbecue restaurant, along with a few treats. I opted for the Double Decker with a side of collard greens, and I was impressed. As I looked around at what the others ordered, I was pleased with the presentation.I had my heart set on dessert, and they offer some great pies and pudding! I was torn between the pecan pie and banana pudding. Pecan pie won out, and it was served chilled. Yum!!Mary did a great job of meeting our needs and making us feel valued as customers. Thank you for all you did to make our dinner a great one! Southern barbecue is a treat, and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience.

Korean Fusion Quality Table-Top Korean BBQ Skewer & Skillet Concept at the table Asian Fusion Risotto Wet Aged Steaks of all kinds Smoked and Premium Quality Korean BBQ varieties available
We had lunch on a quiet Monday, and service was quick and friendly. The âall you can eatâ choice at lunch ($20 for skewers of meats or $25 for whole pieces) gave an opportunity to try more items. Some of the meats were pretty good, with the main exceptions of (1) being given chicken chunks which were still raw and cold in the middle [NOT good eats!] and (2) the âsausageâ which was really just a hotdog. The various kimchis and sauces were good. Unfortunately, the overall look, feel, and dining experience here, while adequate, does not match up with the better Korean barbecue places nearby.
Short version: I highly recommend the sunflower fried dumplings and Japchae.Long version:What a delightful hidden gem of a wonderful restaurant. I thought for sure the 5-star rating was a fluke, but I assure you that it's not! This place deserves more than 5 stars! The owner is a bubbly, energetic, enthusiastic, optimistic, lovely lady. You can really tell that she loves her job and her customers. You can't help but walk out feeling a bit happier and optimistic after interacting with her.Now for the food--you never knew healthy could taste this good! It's seriously amazing. Being somewhat new to Korean food, I didn't know what to get, except I knew that I wanted to try the dumplings. The owner helped me decide the best options based on my preferences and I got my order to go so that I could take it back to my hotel and gorge. I got the sunflower fried dumplings (SO GOOD), Japchae, and a pina colada bubble smoothie. The dumplings were just perfection. I will order these every time because I can't imagine coming here and passing these up. They are served in a circle that looks like a sunflower, thus the name. The Japchae had amazing marinated bulgogi meat, with fresh veg and the glass noodles were so addictive. The spicy sauce on the side was a creamy spicy compliment that just worked wonderfully drizzled over the dish (and I'm not a fan of spicy food). I literally could not stop eating this dish. I over-ate but couldn't help myself because it was so good! Their portions are huge too. If I lived here, I could have had 3 decent sized portions given what I ordered. The bubble smoothie was a treat, but I'm not sure that bubble smoothie is my thing--the tapioca balls are just a little odd for me with the chewy texture, but that's totally me, not this smoothie. I always told myself that the next time I could try bubble tea/smoothie, I'd give it a shot and now I have. I cook at home 95% of the time because it's extremely difficult to eat out and eat healthy. If I lived near Choi's, you'd see me there at least once a week, and that is saying a lot for me because I just don't eat out that often unless I have to travel. Now when I am visiting this area on business, I am going to make it a priority to stop by and dine as often as I can. The people who live close to this restaurant are lucky!
You cook your own choice of meats on a table top charcoal grill. Very cool part of the experience and gives you some control over the finished product. Good soups are also part of the meal and salad as well.

We eat out most meals, and many times it is Korean cuisine. This place is excellent both in food taste/quality and service. We had Spicy Squid and Shrimp on the char grill. The side dishes complimented the entrees perfectly and the service was outstanding. We have eaten in may Korean BBQ restaurants, this will definitely be our new favorite. And thanks,Justin, for the great service and conversation.
