Focused on providing our customers with the best Western North Carolina style pork BBQ around! WE CATER!! Ol' Bob's BBQ was somewhat born out of chance. Throughout the 1990s, Bob Patterson, a retired high school administrator, and his son Eric spent many
I love that this place has a drive-thru. I stopped here to get a quick bite and got a corn dog and some onion rings. Both were obviously fresh and well done. I didn't think to ask for condiments and he didn't offer. Some ketchup and mustard would have been nice. But all in all, it's a great little stop for a quick bite that isn't your typical fast food.Thank you so much for your review! We are glad that you enjoy utilizing our Drive-Thru! It is definitely a time saver. We can't wait for you to visit with us again real soon, and please do ask for condiments - we will GLADLY give you anything that you could need! Thanks again

Love Randy's! We always come for the hotdog special, which is a footlong hot dog, fries and a drink for 5 bucks. It is always delicious. Service is wonderful, always making sure our drinks are topped off. Delicious food for a great value! This is a great place if you want something local!

Little Pigs has been here forever, and it's the first place I think of when I think barbeque. Their sandwiches are great, but my favorite is the barbeque plate with baked beans and cole slaw with hush puppies. They have tomato-based sauce, either mild or hot. The hot is not too hot. When I am in the mood for a change, they have delicious hot dogs, and their grilled hamburgers are tasty, too. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it! Your food is made to order, but it usually is ready right away. Call in for take out, and they will have it ready for you when you arrive. The folks are friendly. Tell them Randy sent you.
Where to eat Diner food in Statesville: The Best Restaurants and Bars
I do volunteer work with the inmates at one of the local prison units and one of the guys last year over dinner mentioned he used to live right down the road from Chuck's. Took note of that and Chuck's has been on my list of places to try in Statesville ever since..It's a bit out of the way, out in the country. It's on NC Hwy 115 probably about 5 miles north of the intersection with I-40 at Exit 150. The restaurant is a single room building with an attached covered porch in front. You walk up, place your order and in just a few minutes, your order is ready. There are two menu boards. On the left is the regular fast food items such a burgers, hot dogs, etc while the menu board on the right is the various plates they offer. Not as many Barbecue items as I would have expected from the name.No dining area although there is a place you can eat outside over to the side of the building. Most traffic is take out. From the left board, I ordered two Cheese Burgers with Lettuce, Tomatoes and Onions along with an order of French Fries and Iced Tea. The gentleman behind the counter had to ask me to repeat my order because as he apologized, he was getting hard of hearing. No apologies necessary because that at least made two of us.In any case, my order was ready in about 10 minutes and in the meantime, the gentleman behind the counter kept my iced tea full. When my order was ready, I paid and took my order back to the office to eat in the air conditioning. After all, it was 95F outside not counting the heat index.Everything was still hot when I got back. The burgers were excellent and totally different from the ones we get at the Fast Food Places. At least these had character and flavor. The burgers were bigger than I expected so next time, I'm only going to order one. French Fries were another story. Each Fry was bigger than average and were a nice golden brown and a well caramelized exterior but the interior of the fry was undercooked. Need to back off a couple degrees on the oil and cook longer. That said, still better than most you find.It a quaint place with no frills. More of a food stand than a restaurant but if you're in there area, definitely a place to explore and give a try.
