Fancy Bbq this is not, but that's perfect for me! We had a rack of ribs dry and a couple pulled pork sandwiches. The ribs were huge and cooked perfectly! And the sandwiches we equally yummy and tender. I was also a fan our their sauce which is rare for me. Go get you some ribs on a Friday or Saturday night you won't be disappointed.
This is a Mom and Pop establishment and they put their heart and soul into it. They shop for all of their goods, no commercial food truck delivery here. Have their own special butcher and cook everything to order. Liver & onions was yummy and the BAKED MAC & CHEESE WAS PERFECT!!!i WILL DEFINITELY RETURN AND YOU SHOULD GIVE IT A TRY

I don't give out a whole lot of 5 stars, but this place deserves it based not just on the food, but the value. We were participating in buying dinner for the minister that was a part of the Burnette Chapel Church of Christ ambush and his family. Both of his adult children live with him and his wife along with son-in-law, 2 teenage grandchildren and a young adult male they took in several years ago. The minister was my wife's youth minister when she was a teen as well and had become like family to her over the decades. We attended there up until a few years ago where I served as volunteer youth minister and one of the song leaders. So based on the number of people the meal needed to be substantial so we partnered with other friends to provide enough food to get them through a couple of days - the wife is still in rehab from open heart surgery following her being shot in the leg. Side note - had she not been shot, she may have died from an undiagnosed heart condition.I thought I would be able to purchase a Groupon or Local Flavor voucher for $30 for $15 at Bar B Cutie, but they had sold out. I get on their website - there pulled pork is $12.00 A POUND! I wanted to get some cole slaw as well, but it was $5 for 12 ounces...seriously?! I guess I have never eaten there without a coupon and I wasn't about to start now. I check other local prices. I am a fan of both Whitt's and Bob's - Bob's was a reasonable $7.00 a pound while Whitt's was $8 or $9. Several months ago I stopped and got a sandwich at Better Days and remember liking it very much. It was moist without the addition of any sauce at all. I check their prices - $6.36 a pound and a full pint of coleslaw for about $4. I wound up getting 2 pounds of meat, two coleslaw, sauces and a pack of buns AND a full pound of Lay's potato chips for $29! Not $29.46 or $29.99 - $29 EVEN. You see, the menu items are prices so that with tax they always come out to and even dollar amount - no "TAKE A PENNY LEAVE A PENNY" here. Just like before, the meat was very moist and flavorful. It had smoke taste, but not unbearably so. Sauces were thick. I did sample the slaw and I really liked it, especially with the pulled pork. I read a few reviews saying the man behind the counter was rude and argumentative - no where close to what I experience - he seem like a fun loving cut up kind of guy - "messing" with me, but not in an obnoxious way. Just seemed like a nice guy giving people a got deal on great food. Maybe they went in with a chip on their shoulder or just didn't have a sense of humor - don't know - wasn't there. He used his cheesy greeting, "How can I make your day better?" and when I left, "Have a better day!" Hey - I would probably come up with something similar. OH, Bar B Cutie would have cost me $32 and that was without potato chips, buns, tax or sauces - and I would have gotten less coleslaw.

Was visiting the area and after we got done shopping for some clothes at Target we stopped at Famous Daves. I always love good BBQ and this looked like a good spot, just what the doctor ordered. Upon arrival, it was nearly empty and we stood at the door wanting for a seat for about 10 minutes. Finally I walked to the bar and asked the bartender if we could be seated and they did finally get someone to seat us. After looking over our menus we waited another 15-20 minutes for someone to take our order, mind you there was only one other couple in the place yet there was several servers walking around talking and such. After ordering out food, we waited 30 minutes for it to come out, the food obviously had been sitting awhile based on the presentation and taste, surely not good BBQ in my opinion. The only positive about this experience was when we finally was able to ask for our check, the manager brought it to us and told us she took 15% off due to poor service, so even though we did not complain or anything she obviously acknowledged it was poor. When I visit the area again, I won't repeat.

First of all the young woman working last night was so nice!! Our order was accurate. We took it to go but there is a nice place to dine in. Loved the combo of putting hot and mild sauce together. Mac and cheese was delish. The barbecue was alright, no complaints but not the top of my list, good enough. Homemade strawberry cake was awesome. We might be a bit on the picky side because we are St. Louisan's, we visit KC regularly and also love Memphis barbecue.

Authentic, Southern Bar-B-Q. Meats are slow-smoked continuously around the clock to ensure only the freshest product. All trimmings are made from scratch daily (there's no freezer in the whole building!) Dine In, Drive Thru, To Go, Private Dining, and Cat
I always eat at Jim and Nicks when Iâm in the are. Always generous portions and friendly service. This visit, there wasnât a greeter. All the servers appeared rushed and stressed. (It was one hour before closing). I had the hot links, turkey and brisket. The hot links were great as always. But the turkey was really dry and the brisket was fatty. Iâm chalking it up to being close to closing and Iâll still come back. The collard greens and Mac and cheese was fantastic!
