We stayed in an air bnb on the same street anf the owner had recommended this restaurant. On our first night, we visited them and we ended up going there for every night of our stay! Firstly, the restaurant has such simple and lovely decor and its pristine clean! The service we received from the owner and the lovely Brisilda was exceptional - she helped us choose the dishes as we were unaware of what to order and all her recommendations were great. The food was so authentic with fresh ingredients and the pizza was also great, cooked right infront of our eyes on the open wood fire. They kindly offered us complimentary limoncello and also prosecco on our last night when we came to collect our pizzas. Our experience in this restaurant really made our trip to Florence even more special and we will definitely come visit them again when we are ever back in Florence. Grazie to the chef, the owner and Brisilda for their outstanding hospitality!!

My favourite restaurant in all of Italy. Real Tuscan food from original Tuscan recipes. The wine list is "fuori classe" as in exceptional. This restaurant is a bit outside Florence, but absolutely worth going for. The Gori's are running their restaurant with passion for food and wine in absolutely high quality. A friend of mine invited me to this restaurant located in the countryside of Florence. The view is very nice with Olive trees and that great Tuscan landscape. The restaurant is decorated in a simple yet welcoming way with a big veranda with the view. They obviously specialise in fried chicken and rabbit. They also have fried vegetables, tempura-style which where just great ! As primi piatti we had really good tagliorini with fresh truffle : the simple way with butter which allow the taste of the truffle to blossom. Then we had the fried dishes and it was very good too. The house wine from a local producer (Rosso di Toscana) was a great value for money. A very nice excursion outside Florence for a real Tuscan experience.

we went here on a groupon and were seated right away-the food starting with 9 appetizers came quickly along with our apertitivo, then came the pasta which was one of the best I have ever eaten-homemade gnudi with ricotta and spinach in a cheese and pepper sauce, then my husband got the steak with porcini mushrooms and I got the fried chicken and rabbit along with beans and roast potatoes-so delicious!! then came the 3 desserts-cheesecake, chocolate cake and amaretto cookies, coffee and limoncello-we left this restaurant so full and totally satisfied!! we will definately be back-and very soon!!

Went for dinner midweek as it had some good reviews on here. Not very busy at 8pm but soon filled up with local families. Ordered the been soup to start followed by T bone (note minimum weight is 500gm) washed down with a large bottle of lager. Meat was cooked to perfection and I ended up gnawing every last strip off the bone (my dog would've been proud of me - the waiter approved). Waiter was great - spoke decent English. Service was quick. Came to â¬38 but the steak was â¬20 of this. Best restaurant close to airport in my view.

Very nice little restaurant with authentic food and people. We mostly saw local customers around us, which is a good sign. The waiter was very nice and spoke enough English, menus were translated, and the food was good and abundant. I probably ate too much, be aware that some of the dishes are very large, ask the waiter!

We ate here on 6/5/15 just after arriving at our villa in Sesto Fiorentino. We ordered stuffed squash blossoms and several other appetizers. Squash blossoms were delicious. For my second dish I had the pasta with shaved truffles. WOW is all I can say. For our final course, my husband and I shared the Tuscan steak. It was ridiculous huge. We ate all we could and took the leftovers home with us to be used when we made steak and eggs in the morning. The waitstaff was very attentive (but not overly) attentive to our table and made sure that we were never without water or wine. We enjoyed sitting out in the garden. It was a great first night in Tuscany.

We were staying in Sesto Fiorentino because it is a convenient base for visiting Firenze and Toscana, and we were not expecting much in terms of gastronomy. Well, we were in for a pleasant surprise when we happened upon this restaurant. We had polpettine di maiale (pork meatballs - but it sounds better in Italian!), cod crocchette, grilled chicken, and a creme caramel with vinsanto for desert. Everything was one or two steps above our expectations - each dish with little touches that simply made it outstanding.The service was also very good, with just the right balance between formal and friendly. Really, a place where I'd be a regular if I were to stay in Sesto Fiorentino for any period of time.
