Like some others, we stumbled across Casa Edu whilst having a drive around the area. Fortunately, we found it early on in our two week stay in Guia de Isora, so were able to visit on a few occasions!Magnificent food, very reasonably priced and regularly full of locals, which can only be a good sign! A nice selection of starters, mains and desserts served by friendly, helpful staff. Just make sure you go with a healthy appetite!No hesitation in recommending Casa Edu and well worth the short car or taxi journey out of town. We went there and were completely satisfied. My wife had avocado filled with shrimps, ananas as starter and fish in a fantastic sauce with canary potatos and as dessert a creme caramel. And i had fried cheese with marmelade as starter and first time in my life goat. The goat had a fantastic sauce and was really delicious. With the goat i ordered the canary potatos. As dessert i had the chocolate cake. I can fully recommend this restaurant. Friendly, authentic, no convenience food. The sauces were homemade and view was very nice as well. Go there to eat honest canary kitchen!! The prices are absolutely fair!

Spotlessly clean restaurant attached to a bar where the locals go! Waiter/barman was so efficient and polite - it was amazing to see him manage both with aplomb. Entrecôte steak was perfectly cooked and tender; my fish steak was beautifully seasoned and delicious; house red was very good and very cheap. Excellent evening out with a local atmosphere

We came to eat here on our last night and I can say that this restaurant topped all the ones weâve been to before. The food was excellent, steak cooked to perfection and the staff was really friendly and attentive to every detail. Thoroughly enjoyed eating here and would definitely come back.
