We stumbled upon Ganzo on our way to our hotel, and we are so glad we decided to stop by! Great service (we had a nice chat with Alessandro, thanks for your recommendations on what to order). And the food was delicious. We had the tagliatelle al uovo with truffles, burgers and pizzas, it was all excellent. It was before Christmas so a lot of families and large groups of people having a great time.Dear Elsa,Many thanks for taking the time to review our restaurant. Joined for a light dinner since I was spending the night at Hotel Boccaccio. I ordered a portion of fresh grilled fish, with side grilled vegetables, a glass of wine and water. Visited while staying locally in November. This restaurant is located at the edge of the village and is fairly easy to get to on foot if staying locally. The restaurant is welcoming and well laid out, the staff where very helpful when explaining the menu which is in italian.Enjoyed a pleasant small soup before the starter we both had the pate which was excellent. For mains we had the barbecued chicken which was lovely and moist however the skin although very crispy was very heavily laden with salt. Dessert was really nice would recommend the cheesecake Very reasonably priced and would definately visit again.

This is a traditional Tuscan trattoria, friendly, full of locals. There is no menu but the food and the wine just keeps coming! The pasta was cooked to perfection and then huge plates of beef, which were fantastic, but we could not eat it all so they gave us a doggy bag.The staff were so friendly and attentive. We returned the following day in search of yeast to make our own pizzas and the owner insisted on giving us some of their yeast- so kind. This is the real deal. I will be back!

This was a very different experience that I thoroughly enjoyed, although, understandably, my vegetarian wife was not quite so impressed with a butcher's restaurant, although they made every effort to accommodate her with every course! Their butchers shop opposite had already impressed me - I used it three or four times during our 12 days in Montopoli, and not only was the meat of outstanding quality, the fat was always cut off before pricing - and i don't like fat anyway!! On to the meal - 4 courses in a very atmospheric old building. Starters were cold meats from their own pigs with salad - my wife just had a larger salad. The salamis and ham were excellent. This was followed by a lasagna made with their own beef - rather too creamy for me personally, but still nice. My wife had pasta and pesto, which was very nice. The main course was Fiorentina steak and pork from their farm - amazing. i particularly liked the pork, not being a particularly great steak person. My wife had an omelette. We had apricot tart for pudding, which was very pleasant. It was a wonderful experience, at least for me (!), but not cheap at 30 euro a head (20 euro for the veggie version), and that did not include wine, which was a little disappointing, although i was able to buy a glass of red later on. Overall - lovely experience for meat eaters, bearable for veggies!

Pizza molto buona, dall'impasto digeribile e dagli ingredienti gustosi e di buona qualità . Complimenti a Pietro, gestore, pizzaiolo e all'occorrenza bravo chef... Sabato sera è riuscito a sfornare ottime pizze e a preparare un buon piatto di spaghetti alle vongole per la mia cuginetta. Servizio molto simpatico ed efficiente. Consigliato!

Great restaurant tucked away in Bientina Toscana nice place overlooking a man made lake.We had dinner there on a Monday the food was mouth watering.We had some lovely pasta with shellfish my friend had some delicious ravioli and the Frittto misto was superb.We then had a Fiorentina , a fillet and fresh fish all cooked to perfection.We opted for their local wine by the carafe which was from a Montalbano winery quite good.Desserts were amazing , service 100% the owner who is of Corsican origin takes pride in her work and really takes care of her clients.Grazie di Cuore!!!

Excellent place quite difficult to find. But once found you are welcome by charismatic owner who will make you feel like you are the Client he had waited for years.Food (seafood) excellent. From starters, through seafood pasta and risotto to fried frutti di mare.Large garden, fresh air, lovely time.Will come back for sure!

On this Wednesday which is a very important holiday in Florence, friends who live in this area took us for lunch. It is gorgeous! The atmosphere set on top of a breezy small mountain with scenic views and charming tables all outside made for a perfect setting to escape the confusion of the city and step back and enjoy the quiet of this locale. AND, the food. ....not only was it prepared perfectly but presented in a way that made you think you were in a very fine dining venue...which we were! We loved this day, this restaurant and the staff, everything about it. To get there...well, it is not hard with a car of course, and the town of Buti and the surrounding area are well worth an entire day. We did not see any tourists whatsoever but the staff spoke English this I know for sure. If you are driving just follow signs towards Pisa and then to Buti and then onto this restaurant. You will be happy you did.
