I went to this place on the recommendation of my brother. It was a great idea and we had some of the best barbecue that we've had in awhile. The "cue" had a good smoky flavor and was very tender. Their beans are great as well.
Get there before they sell out...brisket is that good! It shouldn't be because the guy who owns the place is from somewhere like Pittsburg, he slices with an electric knife and his Asian wife is pittmaster?! How can it be?? But he slices the brisket super thick and it's as good or better than what I've sampled in LaGrange and Lockhart. Go figure. However, the sausage is Chappel Hill so can't even be mentioned in the same sentence with those sinfully good little sausage rounds from those two bastions of BBQ. Kat's sliced sandwhich takes a back seat to no one! BBQ beans are a must-have as well. Ribs are just ok. But why bother with sausage & ribs when sliced brisket is this good? Service is order at the counter and pick up yourself. Kat's get 5 stars for the brisket.
Traveled there with a friend as it's close to home...place was empty, drive thru window closed. Went inside and waited in line behind a gent with a large to-go orders. 3 people behind counter doing ? ? ?. Made order and received it fairly quickly. Condiment table had BBQ sauces....one empty, one extremely low...didn't check third. You needed the sauce as the BBQ Brisket was really dry. Friend ordered loaded potato and got mashed pots, microwaved and loaded with something...hard to tell. Taste was not good. Why anyone would think this is a 5 star rating is beyond me. Not impressed and won't waste my time or money here again. If I want BBQ, there is a class act just down IH-45 toward Galveston...This just didn't even come close.

When you've had enough seafood in Galveston and are ready for some BEEF, this is the place to go. Their walls are crammed with trophies and awards, and once you taste their food, you'll understand why. Excellent brisket, delicious sides. The dining room isn't fancy, but you won't care. You'll leave satisfied with the good BBQ and good prices. EAT HERE SOON!

Our family ate here Friday night. We've eaten at this location several times in the past, as well as other locations. Every time we have eaten at one, the service has been good, as has the food, and the prices are good. I had a chopped BBQ beef sandwich with sides of pinto beans and corn on the cob. They are always bringing around fresh bread, more than you really need. The meat is very good. The sandwich was huge. I was only able to eat half and took the other half home for another day. Yes, there are better (and pricier) BBQ places in the area, but Spring Creek is consistently good BBQ at decent prices.
