This small restaurant is behind a butcher's shop. To call it cheap and cheerful would be accurate (we dined very well and paid 125⬠for eight people) but would undersell the overall experience. Full of Italians - no tourist joint this. The menu is limited, the decor is modest, but the steak and the mixed grill are excellent. Some side orders of chips, spinach and faggioli - and Bob's your uncle. Only open for dinner on Thursday and Friday but I think lunch is available on other days. Don't bother with dessert and instead just wander 50 yards down the road to the excellent gelateria. Highly recommended if you're happy with a great value steak and chips.

We visited Ristorante Vipore for my birthday dinner. The setting of this restaurant is beautiful. It overlooks the beautiful fortified city of Lucca and the surrounding hills. The appetizers we had to start were very good. My favorite was the bruschetta toast. It was fresh and flavorful. For my main course I had the pork ribs which had a very nice flavor but had very little meat on the bones and were a little dry. For dessert we brought our own cake so I didnât get to sample any of their house desserts. Overall my visit here was pretty good. Itâs also dog friendly!!

We ate here on a Saturday evening during Lucca Comics and Games 2018. The place is quite small so it's better to make a reservation if you want to be sure to find a free table.As the name suggests, this place was originally born as a butcher's shop only, and evolved into a restaurant later (the name "ciberia" itself is really cool). Obviously, here you can eat mainly meat so it's not suggested if you're a vegan/vegetarian.The meat is incredible and if you order any kind of steak you can choose which one you want from a selection, too. The soup is great, too.The staff is kind, professional and helpful (it's not necessary to be a meat-expert to choose your steak, they will help you out).

Non servono altre parole, dopo due bocconi(per fortuna) ci accorgiamo che la carne è piena di VERMI Vivi! Presi dal panico non siamo riusciti a documentare il fatto. Il proprietario, forse preso dall'imbarazzo, si nasconde nelle cucine liquidandoci piuttosto in fretta. Usciamo nella semi indifferenza. Esperienza più brutta della mia vita in termini culinari, costretti ad antibatterici e controlli medici.ASSURDO.

The food that we ate mainly meat was tasty and cooked to perfection. The side dishes of roast vegetables and roast potatoes were also very fresh and good. The sweets were also delicious. One must not go there for the ambience because it is ok but nothing wow.
