Only order the marinated bulgogi or the kalbi; everything else is flavorless. The flame on our grill went out three times. Poor ventilation in the restaurant, very smoky. Servers were inattentive and did not help cook the meat, as waiters in most Korean barbecue restaurants do.

This restaurant opened not too long ago. It could be part of the national chain of Sam Woo. The Chinese name is New Sam Woo. I ordered Chinese noodle (Chow Fun). It was a bit too spicy and below average. Almost any restaurant in Monterey Park or Alhambra can do it better. It was $7.50. The other curry beef I ordered ($10) was pretty good. The place is huge and clean (including the restroom). Price is average to above average. Service was below average. There is really nothing special about this place. With so many good restaurant in the area that are better and cheaper, I may not go back. I went there just to check it out and write this review.
I would definitely like to visit this restaurant one day. Wonderful flavours. The proportions for my hungry kids were large enough. But don't turn up in the last hr to have a sit-down meal. They will only do a carry out!
Where to eat Italian food in Rosemead: The Best Restaurants and Bars
I come to this restaurants many times before and I loved it. It deserved 4 stars. This time, however, all the dished with black bean sauce were too salty, hence the 3 stars. The flavor and aroma of the dished were very good though. We came here early this time as we were trying to beat the crowd. At 10 am there was barely anyone there in the dining area but there was a long line on the BBQ area. We realized it was Chinese new year and I guess they have their tradition. Cool! The price is very reasonable for the amount of food you get. Even some seafood dishes cost less than $8. I would definitely go again but would order less dished and have more rice. They also give free soup with your meal.
