Mable's Smokehouse is a no-frills Southern BBQ restaurant located in the heart of Williamsburg. Located next to Brooklyn Brewery and surrounded by Brooklyn's hottest hotels, Mable's serves Lunch/Brunch, Dinner & Drinks seven days a week. Think Ribs, Brisk
After leaving Tennessee, we were unsure if we'd sample great BBQ again, but this place did a really great job for our party of 4 on a busy Saturday night. Stand outs were the ribs and the sides, while the brisket did not quite reach the heights of Martin's BBQ in Nashville. It was still very tasty. Good beers and a lively atmosphere, this place is a great option for NYC visitors wanting to sample good bbq.

On holiday in Brooklyn and really wanted to taste some good brisket, read the reviews and checked out Fette Sau. The place was set up with benches and we quickly found somewhere to sit on a Tuesday evening. We tried the brisket and the other beef cut, ribs and some sides. The brisket was ok, the other beef cut we didn't like and was tough, the ribs very dry and tough. The ambience of the place is good but to me the taste wasn't good enough to give a higher review

Visited here two nights in row, the food is excellent and the selection of beer is good. Tried the Jackson Salad which is lovely for a carb free meal...well sort of. Also tried the coleslaw, tasted fresh and a tad touch of spice. The staff is really nice, the prices are great. I think the Jackson salad was $12, enough to fill and have room for drinks. There's a decent sized area to sit outside with about 8 tables. Inside is very warm from the kitchen, the area by the bar is cooler.
