I was there following the rate they received. The restaurant was more than half empty , one waiter who also caters the bar nearby. All dishes served were not of good quality and were extremely disappointed.Not recommendedDear Baldwin2, We are sorry that you didnât like our food we serve from 25 years with good quality and several clients along the years we have the restaurant, but we have two separate ambience: the bar and the restaurant and we have two different waiters, one at the bar (the owner) and one/two -depending on the reservation we have- for the restaurant. Maybe you have seen wrong but this is not our fault. After a quick chatting we discovered that the waiter showed you were is the bar where our guests usually go to pay. We have not one waiter who runs up and down among the restaurant! We hope to continue our work as ever with or without your review!Have a nice day,Ristorante Pestello

It's not your usual Butcher shop, it's much more indeed. You are definitely in for an unexpected treat when you visit the Macelleria Francini, and a very pleasant one. We stumbled across this hidden Gem on our road trip around Italy. Driving through Greve in Chianti, in the rain, we noticed this quaint corner Restaurant that was serving grilled meats and Chianti. The owner was very sweet and accommodating. We were some of the first patrons in the restaurant so she was able to give us a full tour around their menu. The restaurant was cozy and rustic with a wood-burning oven. To start we ordered traditional Bruschetta with diced tomatoes and an eggplant terrine, which were super tasty. The second course was a Risotto with a pistachio cream sauce. It's flavor was delicate and outstanding. Our main course was a Filet of beef over a yoghurt cream sauce with baked tomatoes on the side. The beef melted in your mouth. Our meal was accompanied by a Savignola Paolina Chianti Classico Reserve recommended by the owner. We came and visited both Solo Ciccia and Officina, and the steaks won out! Officina was amazing. Part of what makes the experience so great is the family style tables making for great conversations with new friends. Do yourself a favor and bring your own wine, as the complimentary wine is not the greatest. Also, request a bone and you'll be happy you did :)

We had a wonderful experience at Solociccia. After seeing Dario on chefâs table, we planned our Tuscan adventure around eating here. We made reservations several weeks in advance, but the couple next to us was able to get a table for the same day for lunch. The staff was friendly and attentive and clearly took so much pride in their work. I really felt like we were honoring the animal as we ate this multi-course meat meal. Dario even came out to greet all of the guests towards the end of the meal. Incredible!

This is an amazing restaurant and fabulous experience! You do not order dinner here, you eat what is served based on your chosen menu. There are different dining options and we chose the Bistecca which is an all beef meal. Absolutely amazing! Not sure if reservations are required, however, this is a very popular restaurant so reservations are highly recommended. You can do so on their website or by calling. You will not be disappointed here. I will return.

Enter through the butcher shop, with "show seating" outside under a tent in the back, and regular restaurant seating upstairs inside. There are actually two different review sites for the same restaurant, with one probably intended for regular lunch or inside table service, and the other being for the big outside food show, with family style dining in a typical Italian way. We are talking plastic chairs and theatrical servers who have practiced flinging the food from a substantial distance, onto your plate, with often good precision, but don't wear dry clean only clothes to this place! Food is unlimited in quantity, and the quality is just average, but the show is something that you will never forget. It is about the fun. 50 Euro to eat as much as you can. Be sure to arrive early for both good seating and the chance to watch the "pre-show" cutting of the meat, with AC/DC music that he will turn way up if the crowd is into it.
