Great little cafe/bar - ideal for everyone. Really friendly owners and best of all - they do oven fired take away pizzas!

Food is of very good quality, although limited choice. Very acceptable overall. But prices can easily raise if you go beyong the day's menu or want a full lunch/dinner. Atmosphere can be quite nosy at weekends. Most traditional Catalan BBQ choices are available

Big juicy American burgers, homemade desserts, and a nice selection of craft beers along with friendly staff and great service. Now in a larger location with more room and less wait.
I have probably tried most of their burgers, and they are all amazing. The food and staff is always on quality. I highly recommend trying the FAT ELVIS burger, itâs with peanut butter and banana. Sounds like a weird combination but it will be a burger they you will never forget in your life

Parrilla del Pou Nou is a traditional restaurant located in the little town of Canyelles (at the road between Vilanova i la Geltrú and Vilafranca del Penedés), where you can eat typical food of Catalonia, for example you can eat "calçots" and do the "calçotada", a menu which include calçots (more or less large onions) with a romesco sauce, sausages with beans, some types of grill meat and catalan cream. The menu is good, but you can not eat all calçots you want, I remember that you can only eat more or less 12 calçots. It is a good option to taste typical calçotadam but I think that there are some other restaurants in Catalonia (for example near Valls), where this typical menu is better.

We visited Lavern-subirats as part of a local horse carriage experience and knew that there was a Michelin restaurant in the vicinity. From the onset, the service was horrible. Our local guide helped to ask if there was a table (as we did not have reservations), the lady was arrogant and unresponsive. As the tables inside were full, we ended up sitting on one of the tables outside. There was five other empty tables outside, but she insisted that the table we sat on was reserved and we needed to move to the adjacent. The food was good and the fire oven was a nice touch; but the service was horrible. There were only two servers and they were very unresponsive. We needed the restaurant to call for a taxi for us and it took 25 mins for the taxi to come. When we chased for it (as we needed to catch a train/, they were very impatient and semi-ignored us. The taxi ended up charging us euro20 for a 4min ride, which his taxi meter shows for only 2.45euro. The driver got into an argument with us, citing that the restaurant had told him to bring us to a much further train station and we needed to compensate him for the distance he thought he should have travelled, even though he only drove for 4mins.Do not visit due to the poor customer service

We have eaten here a few times, bringing friends from the UK here in particular. We've enjoyed breakfast as well as dinner. The food is absolutely excellent, this trip we were on the way from Begues to Cervera so dropped in for brunch. Each of us had sandwiches made with their glass bread (Pa de Vidre) which is quite simply AMAZING. I had with ham, my daughters with fuet and pernil salat and my wife a mushroom tortilla. Deliciously tasty preparation and very warm bread (and plate) which kept warm until the last bite. Our daughters couldn''t quite manage to finish everything and the staff kindly packed the remainder for the trip. My wife and I shared a coconut dessert which was also delicious. We took some Crema Catalana as a "take away" and ate that for dessert later that afternoon.
