The restaurant looked ok from the outside, reasonable prices and we vere velcomed by a good service attitude. However, the food was the worst we experienced in a week travelling from Venezia to Porec.

We were one of two couples in the restaurant and were virtually ignored by the waitress. When the meals finally arrived, calamari and grilled chicken, we tasted it and decided it was sobad we paid and left.

A family owned restaurant with a particular ambient and atmosphere in the garden seating and also with a seaside terrace. A mix of a modern istrian, italian and meditteranean cuisine with daily fresh fish and seafood prepared on fireplace, with raw and ca
Curious experience. The restaurant is lovely and the food was good (though my wife asked for her prawns to be cooked further). The initial service was fine. It felt like we were forgotten once the main course was over. We werenât offered a dessert and the bill took a while to come once asked for. All in all it took maybe forty minutes for us to leave after weâd finished our main. Perhaps our waiter had to leave or something? Anyway, it doesnât stop me recommending it, but I canât give it a five on the frustrating end to the meal.

Unforgettable gastronomical experience with luscious food, exceptional wines and breathtaking sunset. Itâs the magical peak of a day spent in Novigrad. Itâs the magic that happens when you sit for a dinner at the hottest place in town - Half 8 restaurant.
A gem of a restaurant, location, great food, and friendly accommodating staff. Branka looked after us and accommodated our varied dietary requirements without a fuss. With a storm outside, the restaurant was a bit more challenging to run for the staff. But this did not affect our swift and personal service. The food was of high quality despite being modest in price: Local wine and fresh locally sourced ingredients along with excellent professional service at a great price led to a perfect evening.

After reading all these amazing reviews here my girlfriend and I decided to try it out. Boy were we sorry. As prices go the place is alright, but the service and the food... Supposedly the best sea-food place in Novigrad is far from that. The portions are VERY small and the food was warm at best. It is obvious that food was prepared in advanced and then just warmed up real quick. My girfriend and I ordered mussels which normally take about 8-10min cooking time but they had them out in 5 min or so. The squid we also had was bland and again, hardly warm to taste. The best thing about this place were the pancakes and luckily there is a fast food place around the corner you can go after you're still hungry.

Friendly service, really fresh fish and a great view.Had run out of a few things over the weekend (including draft beer) but still had plenty of fresh offerings and bottled beer options.Worth the walk up the steps! A very welcome stop off on our route up to Plitvice.

We decided to visit this restaurant after reading some good reviews on tripadvisor. What should i say, i expected that we would have nice dinner with good food. We choose homemade bakalar which was very tasty but the portion was big enough for two people not one, my friend has tipical sheep cheese which was ok. After i took scallops from grill and they ware old - smal and made in normal oil not in olive oil which was disgusting, she had pasta with proschuto - only oil no souce. The staff is nice and friendly but the food was not eatable. I'm sorry Konoba Nino that was the worst food we eated in this region.

A small cosy place in the old part of town that serves fresh fish and seafood. Everything in this "konoba" is cooked on a charcoal grill. Dishes are served next to the fantastic olive oil from our production. The number of tables is small and its recommen
I have been visited this place with few friends. After a reservation we finally got a place there for the next day. It is strange that restaurant at 7pm was totally empty and people without reservation couldnât get a table. I donât understand ownerâs strategy. There is many better restaurants in Novigrad with much better and especially fresh food. If you are not sure where to go I would recomend Vecchio Mulino, Gatto Nero and Lungomare much more. If you have kids with you they have nothing to offer to the kids... Of course we have different taste so try and you will see...

Back yet again! We wouldnât feel our time in Istria would be complete without visiting our favourite restaurant. The food remains consistently excellent and if you fancy something different the chef is happy to prepare something just for you. The San Benedetto is always busy, a sign of how good it is so itâs best to book to avoid disappointment! See you all again soon, thank you Goran and team!
