Find out what Barbecue restaurants to try in Nicosia. Nicosia, the capital of the island of Cyprus, has incorporated elements of the many empires and kingdoms that have claimed it over centuries stretching back to the Bronze Age. Narrow winding streets lead visitors from the Cyprus Museum, with its collection of Neolithic and Roman artifacts, to the thick city wall. Built in the 1600s by the Venetians, the wall now divides the ancient part of the city from the modern. Step through the stone gates and enter a place where the past is still alive.

Artisan streetfood concept with a selection of hand crafted burgers and korean cuisine
After having tried many of the excilent burgers and meat dishes in this fabulous place, I was wonderfully surprised to find that they now make Fish and Chips,.... I tried it,...absolutely amazing,.....just like one would get in London,...I loved it so much I just had to return the very next day to have more,.... The cad is of a very generous size, the chips are perfect, and the home made "Tartar" source is superbly refreshing,....I cannot recommend this place and their food more highly!!!!

Real bad service. Waiters that don't really care. Had to wait 25 minutes for 3 wraps while there was only 1 more table at the time. When asked what was going on the waiter just said ok and walked to the other direction. The food was okay at least, even though i got used to bigger portions.

One of the shop owners near the land crossing recommended this restaurant and we were impressed with the service despite only one person being able to speak English! The initial waiter didnât want to serve us once he realised we donât speak Turkish which was quite disappointing. Some of the chicken meatball was undercooked on the inside. However, the mixed platter & Adana kebab was good overall. The restaurant is set in a beautiful courtyard and it was buzzing. Canât imagine what it would be like in the summertime. Despite the small negative aspects, the food was good overall and worth a visit if you ever cross the land border in Nicosia!

It was recommended to me by a friend and I visited this place twice recently ;The anmbience is nothing but it is always full with local people and reservation 4-4 days in advance is required .The price is decent compare to other tavern but the Cyprus meze is so plentiful and rich -so if you 4 order 3 meze and you will have extra food for your pets in the end.The food tastes great and the souvlaki excellent . Service great ,quick and friendly .Bravo!

Really really pleased we found this restaurant which is sort of tucked away and suffered from current roadworks outside at the moment. Itâs traditional Greek cuisine in an atmospheric environment and lots of nice touches and although it was empty when we arrived in a Tuesday night it started to fill as the evening progressed. We order a platter and some sides and the food came well presented, delicious in and on fun crockery. Really liked the place and good service and nice music being played. Definitely recommended.

I was craving meze so went with my auntie and uncle. We had the meat meze (18 euros per head) and it was fantastic. We had a few veggie dishes and then pork and chicken souvlaki, lamb chops, pork fillet, sheftalia, keftedes, loukanika, halloumi, chips, Greek salad and much more. It was the right amount for us and we left stuffed and very happy. They also gave us a couple of warm pastries and fresh fruit to end our meal which was a lovely touch. There was only one other table in there on Saturday night which I canât understand as the quality of the food was fantastic and all cooked beautifully. They are also English Cypriots so speak perfect English. Highly recommended. Dear Pete2591 thank you for giving Louis Tavern & Restaurant such a great review.Plus thank you for giving a complimentary about the quality of our Cypriot food and we are happy that you enjoyed it.SenceralyLouis Tavern & Restaurant

We went as a group of four for lunch. We ordered various dishes like kebab, souvlakia, shieftalia etc. Food was good, maybe not exceptional, but it was cheap and that made it value for money. A good choice overall.

One of my favorite burger places in Nicosia. Is a must go if you like burgers. The selection is massive and the cooking and taste are exceptional. In additional to that they have a super massive beer list. There is an endless beer catalogue with every beer you can imagine. They host a burger week every year as well with some limited edition burger dishes.Price are ok for what you get. I think is better to make a reservation if you are planning to go on a busy night (football night for example).I am a frequent visitor at this place and i had no bad experiences or bad service so far. While out on a tour of Nicosia we were looking for somewhere to have a bite to eat. After looking for a recommended eatery, we chose this lovely restaurant. While it is lovely inside, we chose to sit outside in the good sized eating area. After ordering our drinks we perused the very inviting menu. I had the large chicken souvlaka while other members of my family had chicken souvlaka in pitta bread or other versions of souvlaka. All the food was well cooked and presented and was extremely tasty and filling. The portion sizes are very good without being too much.Coming from London, I found the prices to be very reasonable. All in all, all 5 of us were very pleased, and we range in age from 30-80's.I would have no problem in heartily recommending this restaurant.
