We had a wonderful dinner tonight. Fresh off the plane from an overnight flight. We shared the traditional meat skewer for two, a bottle of Tennat, and a dessert of Tennat ice cream with berry sauce with espressos. Everything was great, including the Lemonchellos to end the meal. Service was great, and the staff very friendly.

Yes, the title says it all. I enjoy their outdoor seating. I dined at Terracota twice within one week. Once with friends visiting from the US and the second time alone. Service was ok, nothing spectacular. Food was good both times. I would return simply out of convenience.

I was expecting great things from this restaurant, however it didnât quite meet them. The service, wine, cold meats and cheeses were very good. I had heard rave reviews about the baby beef. Unfortunately it was thin, rather dry and overlooked, which was a disappointment. Aside from that everyone else enjoyed their meal and we were looked after extremely well. Iâd go back but just order something different!

Autentic Uruguayan food, second to none wine cellar with "hard to find" Uruguayan wines. Reasonably priced, you can enjoy the best of the Uruguayan barbacue, but also very good menu range, from pasta to fish and vegetarian options.
Seemed like the best local option to the Hyatt round the corner. Good atmosphere with a log oven that looked like the inside of a nuclear furnace. A tasty little free pizza to start and we opted for two Milanese escalopes. They were offered in beef or chicken and we plumped for the beef expecting veal (sorry, I know!) One with decent chips and the other with a good salad. It was tasty but it looks like they use huge slices of beef so itâs not quite the same. A big hearty meal though. Good wines by the glass and great service. Queues were forming as we left at 23:00

Veru tradicional meat restaurant located in Punta Carretas, a very nice neighborhood in Montevideo. As an entry the suggestion is the breaded shrimp. Then there are lots to chose, like the lamb chops or the asado de tira. To finish apple pie with ice cream and coffee. Very nice atmosphere, music in q low volume, waitress deliver good service. 10

We had been recommended this restaurant so our expectations were rather high, but even so it surprised us with its excellences.Everything was great - the service, the ambiance, the interior design etc.The food was cooked to perfection and the dishes really elevated all its ingredients. The wine list was also great and the staff were able to give some insightful help in choosing wine.Iâm very restricted when it comes to give spaces a 5 star review, but in this case there are no other options then 5 stars.

Restaurant specializing in traditional Uruguayan kitchen and grill
We came to Garciaâs following recommendation of curator of Andes 1972 museum and this was our best parrilla that we had in Montevideo! Baby beef and morcilla were divine! We also had soft drinks and huge tomato and palmitos salad and paid 2000 pesos (56 euros), including 10% tip, which is a great price for the outstanding quality. Definitely not to me missed! Tip: in all Montevideo restaurants, if you are a foreigner and pay by card (credit or debit) you pay only 4% VAT, which means that 18% get returned to your card afterwards. So in reality, this meal cost us 10 euros less (46 euros).

Wanted something light in the late afternoon, and this place fit the bill. Close to the Sheraton where we were staying. Had the dual of chirizo and the sweat morcilla (a kind of blood sausage. Both were very good and you would never have guessed that morcilla is a blood sausage (the sweet form has orange rinds, cinnamon, and other interesting ingredients). Service was great. Will be back this trip for sure!
