There aren't too many experiences that compare with meandering along the Soave wine road in late summer or autumn (or any season, for that matter), and stopping at the numerous wineries to taste and buy delicious white, red, and/or prosecco wine. You're totally surrounded by hilly vineyards and cherry orchards...I highly recommend it! A highlight of our recent wine-buying jaunt was stopping for lunch at the Albergo (they have 8 rooms) Ristorante Tregnago, a family owned and run restaurant since 1908. (closed Tuesday evening and all day Wednesday)..the restaurant is about 30 minutes from Vicenza.(Their website is: www.ristorantetregnago.com). The owners and waitstaff are very friendly and English is spoken--our waiter lived in New York for a time and has an English wife....My husband and I enjoyed our 3 course lunch (E45 each, including wine, water, after dinner drink--a little expensive, but definitely worth it since the food was delicious and of high quality) in an intimate dining room (6 tables-seating 30)--we would have preferred to dine outside, but we were preempted by a wedding reception...beautiful well-maintained park and fountain on the grounds. All of our lunch choices were well-cooked and perfectly seasoned...my husband said that it was the best meal that he'd had in the recent past.We definitely plan to return in the near future to sample other intriguing choices on the menu. They offer a fresh fish/seafood menu (as well as the standard menu) from Thursday-Sunday.

Damini Macelleria & Affini (âbutchery and goodsâ) is an intersection of quality, knowledge and creativity celebrated by those who seek greatness in taste and in health. Just beyond the front doors begins a voyage of taste, from aromas to flavors, a joyous
Damini has a very good name for its butchery and its delicatesses. It is a modern paradise for food shoppers. but when visiting its restaurant it was a dissappointing dinner. Not that staff wasn't friendly and nice, also the owner was a nice person. The ambiente was nice too. However the food ordered (steak in a butchery!) was nothing special. It came along as a fairly small piece of beef in a sauce with no taste. The beef itself not to the level you have a Fiorentina or Filet in any standart trattoria. Everyone of us was dissappointed. And at end you pay a luxury price for the meal. I was not paying but if I had I would have some instant comments for the owner.

We had italian homemade noodles, risotto and 6 different types of meat, all of great quality and at only 25 euros each. The place is on the top of a hill, hard to find if you don't know the area and the last few hundred meters are on a dirt road, but it's totally worth a visit if you want a taste of the authentic cuisine of the area (not the typical italian cuisine you'd find abroad, actually, you will never get this abroad)Buonasera! Grazie mille per la sua recensione! La aspettiamo per provarci ancora! Buone feste!

Take a family who love what they do, are welcoming and justly proud of their cooking, an area which produces some of the most distinctive wines in Italy, a chilly Sunday lunchtime, and cosy, open fire restaurant full of cheery people. What can go possibly go wrong ?

Since I was there as a wedding guest it was a special occasion but the food was delicious and the service was very good. I only got a quick look at the wine room but it was stocked with locally produced wines. The house itself was newly renovated and it felt fresh (with 34 degrees in the air the AC was also a hit). Recommended.Dear Mr Saredan,We are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us. Thank you very much for your review. We hope to see you soon to taste our local wines and try our beautiful SPA!Best Regards
