This is (among other things) a great spot to take a lunch break when driving the A1. It's easy to reach, the food is excellent and it's cheap. We had good pastas (inc. vongole, as it was on the weekend) and tagliati.

We arrived at 8:30pm without a reservation and the waitress seemed displeased. Weâve been in Italy a week and this was our first sour reception. But there were plenty of empty tables and we were quickly seated. Two of us ordered pasta and the third pizza. The pizza arrived 25 minutes before the pasta and was undercooked. The pasta was uninspired, once it arrived: The carbonara tasted, smelled and looked like scrambled eggs; the âspicyâ sausage was not, and the penne tasted like it was store-bought. The bread never arrived. Maybe the steak is good there - those ordering them received loving attention and seemed satisfied. Unfortunately, we were not.

The Chef greeted us, his attention to detail was obvious instantly, what meal, anti pasta was mouth watering...zucchini flowers was my favourite, truffle ravioli is a must, friends had fettuccine Bolognese, next we had steak and a side of roasted potatoes & salad.,.mouth watering, olive oil, rosemary, sea salt so simple but so good, if you want to experience a true Tuscany Meal... then come here plane and simple. I will be back!!

This is a great local restaurant. Not pitched to tourists. Good honest food at fair prices. Lively atmosphere with friendly service. If you happen to be in the area definitely worth a visit.

They have a barbecue station in the restaurant but still the grilled meat strangely smelled of gas a lot (like it was cooked on the gas stove). When i ordered the bistecca with rosmary they just threw raw rosmary on top of the meat, which justed tasted sharp and soapy (you want the perfume of grilled rosmary go into meat, not raw rosmary strewn over the meat). Sorry to say, but it's untalented cooking. Monte San Savino is an old little city, but dark and gloomy. Better go to Arrezzo.

This restaurant is a bit off the regular tourist trip paths, but the food was phenomenal! Apparently, the little Italian grandmother makes the desserts and she was tickled when she came out and we applauded her cooking! We had steak that was to die for and the rest of the food was great and their was good choices for wine. Nice family atmosphere!

Family run restaurant from two generations, Santorotto offers freshely cooked traditional Tuscan food and a selected wine list to compliment the food. Specialising in 'Fiorentina' (big cut steak from the local breed of particularly big cows, called Chiani
The owner cooks himself. The antipasti platter, turkey and beef accompanied by vegetables was the best italien food we ever had. Ask for the vino rosso della casa. The charming waitress is the owners wife. We had a great evening for reasonable prices.

We have visited Locanda del Baraccotto at 25 of September. It was wedding dinner of our beloved friends.... So, the atmosphere was really cozy and romantic. All stuff were helpful and friendly. Homemade Ravioli with ricotta and pine nuts were delicious!!! Don't miss this place if you will be Lucignano!
