Authentic Turkish restaurant in Leicester also LICENCED, we are proud to say that we are the biggest Turkish restaurant in Leicester, With over 20 years of experience. Also the same owner as ISTANBUL RESTAURANT ON NARBOROUGH ROAD.
This Turkish restaurant is not too far from home so we call in every so often. There's a nice range of starters and all sorts of kebabs and other delights (Turkish Delights!). It's not unduly expensive and the atmosphere is good. The staff are very friendly -- special mention for Annetta who expertly served us this week -- if perhaps a little quick off the mark. We've learned to ask for a break between starters and mains. We're looking forward to our next visit.Thank you for your review I will pass your review onto Aneta Kind regards Anna

I love the high level of customer service by the waiting staff - it's the best. The staff are very efficient, polite, personable and on top of their game. They are professionals in their job and it's lovely to watch them work and very deserving of their tips. Yes give your hard-working waiter/waiteress a tip!Parking is a bit tricky here as it's on a main road into the city but side streets are available with parking meters, bring change.I've been coming here on and off for a number of years and mostly in the evening. However today was my first lunch and the service was as professional as always. And, I haven't even started talking about the food!Portion control seems to be better because previous they were huge. Virtually everyone used to leave with a doggy bag of food because of the size. Authentic food, great selection of classic Turkish food, experienced and talented chefs and prices are still very reasonable for the quality.I love the charcoal smell, the music isn't too loud and you can hear yourself think and the speed of service a fast!Automatically your complimentary bread olives, humus and bits arrive within a few minutes after sitting down is basically your starter. After your meal you're offered a Turkish tea too.Today I was very hungry and wanted comfort food so I when for the Chicken and Lamb with chips and salad. When it arrived the was correctly presented to me and the presentation on the plate was great: colourful succulent There is no alcohol which isn't a problem just an FYIIt's always busy with a great cross section of ages and humanity: from mums and children meeting, solo traveller like me, to big family outings or romantic couples. It's you're one stop restaurant.I love this place and it's a regular treat to go, I just don't understand why I've not written about it sooner. The only gripe I have is that the glass of coke or similar is nearly always flat. it's like it's taken from a 2ltre bottle and poured into your glass. If you go for can of something, obviously this doesn't happen. You don't get ice in your drink either, which in the summer is a bit of a shame. But this is a small observationTeÅekkür ederim!
