This is a very small eat in restaurant, so it might be better to pick up and take it home. That being said, the BBQ meats were exceedingly good, especially the burnt ends. Very tasty. They have combos of chicken, pork and beef. Everyone at my table had something different and it was all delicious. Call early as some things run out of availability later in the evening.

The food was fine, the baked potato not quite done and a lot of salt on outside. The brisket was tender and flavorful. The disappointment- no utensils were provided, no butter for the âloadedâ baked potato and the sour cream, cheese, bacon was skimpy, I ordered a loaded baked potato and garden salad for my sides, got 2 baked potatoes and not a call to verify, and they sent NO barbecue sauce. For my husband and I it was $50 and I was just sad because I was looking forward to the food.

This place has been open since November 2018. It has some decent BBQ and cooked to order chicken. We tried both. The BBQ was tender, portioned just right, and tasted good. The Fried chicken was moist and cooked to order which means it takes a little while to cook...but it's worth the wait. The owner, Bill, came by the table to introduce himself and the service was quick and efficient. There aren't a lot of tables in the place, but enough for several people. The interior is basic, almost stark, but still gets the job done. I will definitely come here again.
Where to eat Italian food in Lansing: The Best Restaurants and Bars
Smokin Meats BBQ is just a month old. To me, itâs still shaking out the food. For those who know Leavenworth, itâs on Metropolitan between 5th and 6th, in the old Habaneros/Casa Agave building. We had the pulled pork sandwich and the two meat platter. The meats on the platter were pork burnt ends and brisket. For sides, we had potato salad, baked beans, and onion rings. Frankly, Iâm a âI want to TAAASTE the smokeâ guy, so the pulled pork and the brisket came up a bit short. Thatâs ok now. Six months from now, Iâll have a higher bar. For them. The onion rings were perfect, the beans were definitely pit made. Thereâs no bar yet. Thereâs bar space, just no bar. We will see if the owners get a liquor license. Itâs owned and operated by a husband and wife. Heâs the pit master, she does the rest of the cooking. The staff is friendly and attentive. We will be back, to sample them again.

On our way from Denver, CO to New Haven, CT. Times our trip to eat dinner in KC. Chose Authur Bryant's based on reviews. Sort of an out-of-the-way location. But the food was over the top good. We ended up sharing burnt ends, brisket, sausage and pulled pork. All of them had their own unique style as they are all sliced thin - a bit different than what I am used to. But the meats were all top quality, great smoke to them, and tasty. And you know it is the real deal when it is all served on white bread. The kicker for me was the Rich & Spicey sauce at the table (there were two other sauces as well). Perfect for the meats we ordered. We saw some other places in KC that were highly rated. But i would give Authur Bryant's an A+.
