(It was previously in Nowy Sącz Voivodeship from 1975-1998.) It is the seat of the gmina (administrative district) called Gmina Kościelisko. It lies approximately 5 kilometres (3 mi) west of Zakopane and 86 km (53 mi) south of the regional capital Kraków.

It used to be nice restaurant, but the staff just destroyed everything. When you wil order the soup and main course, they will bring it to you all together, or with two minutes difference. When you will complain they will tell you, that you should to advise them that you want main course 15 minutes later. Rude people and the food is not as good as it used to be. This was happened to me repeatadly. I will never go there anymore.

Food delicious but.... We ordered pork loin and beef loin was delivered. Red pine mushrooms were not fried on butter like in menu. Anyway beef loin was done perfectly. Tender and well done pork shoulder. Big portions. Reasonable prices comparing to others nearby. If delivered what ordered we would rate higher. We didn't change food after delivery as it wasn't big drama and it was very busy that afternoon, anyway waiters should be more careful.

I remember this place as excellent.Efficient nice woman waiters great food.And good beer.Now I had to go to counter after being ignored long enough bybmale waiters.Do u have many for a hungry man? They did.Wanted to order rabbit that I liked before.Gonevwith the wind.So I can't go wring with lamb baked.Well what landed on tablevwas minced meet cheapest stuff I would call maybe muttonburger.What a fake.Pls owners to make menu that describes whatvweveatbso one can't feel cheat.Why 3:stars not zero? Even though this restaurant displays a sign in the window, indicating they take credit cards, when I was presented with the bill, I was told I had to pay in cash. I had been traveling from Warsaw, Krakow, a little village outside Zakopane as well as other Zakopane stores and this was the first place which required cash. I was forced to use one of the cash machines on the street (which I don't trust!!!) to pay my bill since I didn't have enough. A very unpleasant end to a decent meal. I didn't like being surprised by this and basically misled by the signs at the door of this establishment. It made me wonder what else they were screwing people with.
