Overall, Big House BBQ is average barbecue. The combination plate only provided one rib, a small amount of brisket, and a small piece of chicken. The barbecue sauce is provided in a small ramekin. There is no variety of sauces and it was not very good. The baked potato with brisket is huge and is enough for two or three people. It was decent. The grilled chicken salad was a very good size and quite filling.

This place is taking all the business from other restaurants in town. Clean, well done restaurant that you can take people from out of town to. The owners really put a lot of work into fixing this place. Waitresses have been good, menu is good. I have had brisket, pulled pork and chicken breast and all have been good. The macaroni and cheese is fabulous and really goes good with BBQ meat. A friend had ribs and said they were really good. This is the place to go to in Kingsville.

Enjoyed the brisket and the potato salad was awesome! When ordering at the counter, I asked the owner (who was in front), about his potato salad. He did not hesitate to bring me a sample! So I ordered it and the brisket. The brisket was soft, supple, and had the right amount of smokiness. The owner informed me that unlike many other bbq places, they have a real pit in the back that gives it the flavor. The food was enjoyable. Wish they offered a good beer to accompany it, but they do not sell alcohol. More of an authentic down home food place without the frills. I will return again.
