Had lunch here on a Friday with coworkers, for being a large group we were well taken care of, and the food was great. I really enjoyed the French Onion soup, loved the cheese, and ordered the ribs and wing snack platter, what I did eat was good, ended up taking most of it home as the soup was so filling. Would definitely come back again.
I love Texas barbeque. I've been to the top places in Austin and Dallas and really enjoyed the brisket. I live in Michigan and have been looking but not able to find anything close, Slowes in Detroit, the Woodshop in Clarkston, Meat in Lansing don't come close. But now there is A.B.'s Amazing Ribs in Dearborn Heights. I tried it in a Thursday night, ordered the brisket plate and was very thrilled with what I was tasting. The brisket was easily the best I have had in Michigan and brought back many good memories of Texas. My plate was lean brisket and it was tender, smoky with a distinct black pepper rub flavor, I really enjoyed it. Afterwards I asked if they offered fatty brisket and they said yes, just ask and the owner gave me a slice of fatty brisket to try, it was outstanding! Again very, very close to the top places in Texas, I will certainly be coming back for more. Great job A.B.!!!

Take out order both times had hard, crunchy ribs in the box. Almost not even edible. The potatos are never well done even when ordered that way. The last visit really killed this place for me.Both broasted chicken breasts were pink, we left the pink, cut open breasts on the end of the table waiting for waitress. She walked by at least 20x, noticing our pink meat just sitting there not being eaten. I physically had to wave her down to get new food. After 45min of waiting for proper food to arrive, we were served 2 chicked breasts SOOO overcooked and hard that we could barely cut them open with a steak knife. The chicken inside was soo dried out and disgusting. We were not even about to wait another 20 minutes for decent food. After "eating" we still had no refills in our cups. She waited until she brought the bill to fill our cups up even 1 time. And she didnt even bring the right drinks. This place is a mess.

This is the perfect example of the type of small business you should be supporting within your community. If i had to guess its a two generation family owned business and they are very nice people. Not only are they nice but their food is exceptionally good as well. you can tell that they really care about and enjoy what they do. I really hope that this place sticks around because you dont find places like this everyday. I highly recommend stopping in and getting a bite to eat, trust me youll feel the same way after you do. David, we're absolutely flattered and you're absolutely right we're a two generation family owned place, and we really love what we do, we definitely put our hearts into it because the customers are the heartbeat of this place! thanks again David!
