Reviews on Barbecue food in Guayaquil, Guayas Province, Ecuador. Founded in the 1530s, Ecuador's largest city and main port is the top access point for Galapagos cruises and home to a bustling import-export business. Tourism is on the rise as well, thanks to a new international airport and urban renewal projects along the River Guayas promenade and in the historic neighborhood of Las Peñas. The 465-step climb to the top of Santa Ana Hill provides sweeping views and a chance to stand on the site of the city's birthplace.

We went with a group of 4 last Friday.Like it's a popular place in the Central- Urdesa area and on a Friday night, we had to wait outside till there was a table for us. The guard at the door is in charge to tell you when the table ready. We waited probably for like 20 minutes before we were let inside. On the second floor we got a small table for four. The place was crowded and also quite noisy, but we got quickly to order., Drinks and food came in less than 10 minutes. All our steaks and ribs were from a good quality, especially the ribs were very good. The place itselfs aims to be a bar-restaurant, but I won't consider it as a bar. Many people leave after eating, don't stay for drinks, there is not a great variety on drinks, and when finished eating, I got the feeling that they also prefer you to leave.

What a find... recommended by personnel from our hotel. Excellent food from seafood, pork, beef, or sausages (sample of items eaten by our group). The food was excellent and the portions are huge and the prices were very reasonable. If you visit Guayaquil you need to eat here at least once.

We have been at this place at least 30 times either for business or with family. Top quality steak house. They serve domestic and imported steaks, therefore you can eat what you can afford. Our favorite is "Entraña" (USA imported). They have 3 dining areas (outside, inside downstairs and upstairs). Place could be loud at times. They are always open. Service is absolutely great. Wilfrido, Xavier and Carlos go beyond the expected standard and make your dining a wonderful experience. They are located in La Piazza Samborondon which is across the river from Guayaquil.

We are a restaurant with dishes of Ecuador , we also offer charbroiled meats and a wide selection of wines to taste
We overnighted at the Sonesta to catch a connecting flight. This restaurant is below the lobby of the hotel with easy elevator access. Staff was friendly and attentive and the ambiance was nice with our table along a wall of windows overlooking the busy Street below.Food was good with a focus on meat. We had a couple of appetizers and a bottle of wine and had a bill of $40 which we felt was reasonable.Bottom line - decent place decent prices.
