The name is Afrikaans for grassy hillock. “God’s Window”, a scenic view from the escarpment of the Lowveld below, is located outside the town.

Specializing in South African Game dishes, Indian Curries cooked traditionally. All meals prepared on Open Flame with our restaurant seating offering you both indoor and outdoor garden settings with boma fires and a very relaxing atmosphere.
My daughter and I stayed at Autumn Breeze B&B across the street, and the owner walked us across to show us the restaurant. We were enchanted, both by the environment and the proximity. Happily, the food didnât disappoint! Our wonderful server, Priviledge, suggested the grilled ostrich- which was amazingly tender, and the potjie. Servings were ample and we left with full, happy bellies.

The Kadisi Restaurant offers a unique ethnic atmosphere where you can relax and enjoy the unforgettable view of the Three Rondavels. Enjoy our sumptuous buffets or have something from our snack menu, served in between meal times.
This is a large restaurant in the Forever Resort with plenty of parking space outside. It comprises a spacious dining area, split in two to both the left and right of the entrance, plus an outside patio area. However, when we visited in June it was too chilly to take advantage of the patio area, but I would imagine it offers good views from the deck. Inside the left-hand dining area appeared to be unused, but doubtless is kept busy in the high season. We therefore used the other dining area, which was comfortable with well-spaced tables with a nice log fire in the centre to give a cosy atmosphere on a chilly evening. They offer a buffet at 170 rand per person, or an a la carte menu. The buffet appeared to have a good selection with three meat dishes (one pork, one chicken and one beef), but not being a great fan of pre-cooked buffet meals we went for the a la carte. Three of us had the rump steak (two as part of the surf and turf option), while one had the cheeseburger. The steaks were OK, but all a bit chewy although the calamari âsurfâ element was nicely cooked and crisped. The burger was also OK â a fairly standard burger with nothing to complain about but nothing special. The service was good and friendly. Not being familiar with SA prices I have no idea whether it was good value or not, but it seemed reasonable to me at 135 rand for surf & turf, 115 rand for a plain rump steak (plus 25 rand for a sauce) and 70 rand for the burger, with 500 ml draft Castle at 28 rand. All in all we enjoyed our meal. However I find rating difficult as the restaurant was very nice and the food good, but Trip Advisor for some unknown reason does not provide a rating for good. As (for me) the rating of a restaurant must be heavily based on the food rather than the ambience then I could not say the meals were sufficiently above good to warrant a âVery Goodâ rating. On that basis I have rated it as âAverageâ with the understanding that this means good, but nothing more and nothing detrimental.Dear malabarflyMany thanks for your visit to Kadisi Restaurant at Blyde Canyon, A Forever Resort. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed your visit and do take note of your comments.Sincerely
