Reviews on Barbecue food in Garachico, Canary Islands, Spain. Garachico is a municipality and town on the northern coast of Tenerife, about 52 km West of the capital Santa Cruz de Tenerife, 50 km from Tenerife North Airport and 67 km from Tenerife South Airport. The town itself nestles below a 500m+ (1500 ft) cliff. Garachico and the surrounding area is arguably the least spoilt coastal area of Tenerife, and is in sharp contrast to areas such as Playa de las Americas. It is still very Spanish in character, and a Spanish phrasebook is advisable for non-Spanish speaking visitors.

Typical Canarian food, speciality: excellent fresh grilled meets.
Every time I visit Tenerife I dine in this restaurant on multiple occasions.mainly this is a fresh meat restaurant with a large selection of meats on display as you walk in and also serves local dishes like potage ,garvanzos, carne fiesta, all very reasonable price very good quality and perfect portions .Even on very busy night the service and food is as perfect as a night when it is quite always very consistent like that. The owner who is also the chef is a professional butcher and chooses only the best meats .Staff are all very attentive and welcoming .To give an example 2 x starter - large portion of grill cheese with local mojo and a dish of garvanzos.2 x mains - steak in breadcrumbs with chips and salad and half chicken with chips and salad .3x soft drinks 1x glass wine 1 x dessert All less than â¬30 approx £25 so very good valueHighly recommend El Frenazo. As always I will return every time I visit Tenerife .

Spotlessly clean restaurant attached to a bar where the locals go! Waiter/barman was so efficient and polite - it was amazing to see him manage both with aplomb. Entrecôte steak was perfectly cooked and tender; my fish steak was beautifully seasoned and delicious; house red was very good and very cheap. Excellent evening out with a local atmosphere

If you would like to visit a canarian restaurant that is a little bit different. Then this is the place. As the name indicated, 7 Islas, 7 Islands, there are little individual huts that you can eat in.all named after the Islands. We ate in Tenerife, the largest of the islands as there were 10 of us. A good mixed menu, but we went a bit to late on a Sunday and it was packed, so they had run out of a few things for the grill. Nevertheless, food was great as was the wine. Well worth a visit.
