Sonny's BBQ of Gainesville. Southern BBQ at its finest. Slow-smoking favorites like pulled pork, ribs, brisket since 1968.
This is a newer Sonny's. Seated promptly and greeted by server, Blake. Had a few questions about menu, with which he was very proficient. Wound up ordering: 1) Pork and Rib Combo and 2) Pulled and Sliced Pork Combo. Pulled pork was succulent with great smoky flavor but served at room temperature. Ribs were very tender and not over sauced. Cornbread muffins very crumbly, sweet and served cold--not a good idea. Sweet potatoes very, very hot and skin burned--served in foil. Server didn't offer alternatives to cold pork and muffin.Hi there John, Thank you for takin' the time to share your experience with us. The prices are OK for what you get. We both order ribs and for St Louis style they were pretty good. The folks working at the 441 South location were very attentive although our server seemed to have a severe memory problem. Asked for a take out container and had to go get it ourselves.

Miller's Ale House is a local restaurant and sports bar where you can eat, drink, watch sports, and enjoy the company of others without breaking the bank.
Going to the movies and wanted to eat first. We were seated immediately after arriving and server was at the table soon after, taking our drink orders. We both ordered steaks, mine was the ribeye, wife got the flat iron. Both were cooked to order. Mine was tender and juicy, very tasty. Wife's was a little tough, but good flavor. Overall good meal. Nice place to go, close to theater.

We, Beque holic, is Korean premium table BBQ restaurant.
This restaurant was busy. We had to wait about half an hour to get seated. Service was excellent. Our waiter explained all the dishes and the options available. We grilled or own food and had fun trying the various little side dishes that are included. We split a meal and there was plenty for 2 people.

Sonny's BBQ of Gainesville. Southern BBQ at its finest. Slow-smoking favorites like pulled pork, ribs, brisket since 1968.
At the recommendation of my hotel I went to Sonnyâs for a quick dinner. The BBQ brisket was outstanding and full of flavor. The garlic toast was amazing. The French fries were served hot and fresh. The only downside was the service was extremely slow for the entire meal.

Seating a lunchtime is always easy in their big dining area. Service is always attentive and quick. Food is consistently excellent. I had the beef brisket, which was smoky, moist and tender. My friend had the blackened catfish, which he enjoyed. Nice range of sides, salads, etc. At night it clearly has a focus on bourbon and other cocktails, but I haven't been there after dark. Dining area is dim on a sunny day, but fine for a business lunch or good-sized social gathering.

After reading reviews on Trip Advisor, we decided to try this restaurant. I would agree that these are the biggest ribs that I have ever seen. My husband and I ordered the plates with 4 ribs, 2 sides, and garlic bread. Prices are very reasonable, and service is friendly and efficient. We had Mac and cheese, black-eyed peas, and seasoned fries â- all were delicious. The ribs had a nice rub, and various types of bbq sauce were available. My only complaint was that it was hard to get the meat off of the bones â-I prefer ribs where the meat falls right off.
